Looking for something besides a "BELLY BUTTON" car???? (Everybody has one) MOVE OVER '57 CHEVY! If you're looking for a project car that has lots more character and will turn heads, LOOK NO FURTHER! I am listing this 1957 Plymouth Belvedere for my elderly parents who bought it new back in 1957. This car remained on the road until 1974 when it was put into a barn for storage. For the last 5 or so years, it has been sitting on a patio behind my parents house. Unfortunately, to some extent, age, weather, and neglect has taken its toll. However to a collector with the time, money, skill, and interest this car could be brought back to its former glory. The tail fins alone are worth the price! Features a massive 48 hp V8 engine, push button automatic transmission, 2 door body. This thing would look fantastic cruising down the street again. Windows are in great shape, most of body only has surface rust, but some points are rusted through. Vehicle has never had a major collision. Engine has not been started since 1974, however the crankshaft has been turned by hand every year or so to insure that it has not seized. This car is definitely not road ready, and will have to be towed, but there is a lot to work with here, and there is plenty of life left in this one. As an added bonus, included will be the official Plymouth service manual for this vehicle dating back to 1957, which will provide an invaluable resource to anyone wanting to restore this car. This car is located in Macon, MO (63552) for pick up and shipping purposes. BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING/PICK UP ARRANGEMENTS. My elderly parents do not have the facilities for making such arrangements, so buyer will be given particulars and they can then retrieve vehicle by whatever means necessary.
