1971 Volkswagen Beetle has 112k miles I was told. I was also told by the previous owner that the motor was just rebuilt and installed and then it just sat. I bought it as a project started tinkering with it but am in the process of moving so I need to get rid of it. The carburetor needs rebuilding. I put a battery in it and gas and it sputtered a little but it leaked gas from the carburetor. I think the float is stuck but I am not sure. The rims do not go with the car but can be used to get on a trailer if needed. It is a project, an easily completed one in my opinion but will take some work to get it on the road. It has some rust but is in pretty good shape in comparison to other ones I have seen. Some simple patch panels should fix it up will. It will need side trim $26 on ebay, running boards $28 on ebay, a ignition switch $26 on ebay, carpet, tires, brakes gone through. So the parts are pretty cheap so it should not cost a fortune to get it on the road. I have hot wired it to get it to run but it will need a ignition switch. If you have any questions let me know. If you need to save on gas money these sip gas so it is definitly worth it to drive this and save some gas. It has a nice header I it says kalbron but I am not sure if I am spelling it right.
