Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1949 Chevy fleetline deluxe with a later 250 inline 6 cyl and powerglide trans. Car is running driving but will need attention in all areas to be satisfactory for your own personal taste. It is fine for what I wanted. Its a cool classic ride that I can jump in and do to the local cruise night or to go get a burger and shake. I did drive it on an hour one way trip on the intersate to a cruise and it did fine but you have to drive it. it drives like an old car thats been lowered. She likes to get a little hot sitting still but runs cool driving. the interior is ok but could use some fixing up. headliner is tweed and looks good. An old guy told me onetime "it is what it is". Not real bad rusty but does have some in the floors and rocker. trunk solid. has some small holes in spare tire well. Front glass has some cracks as well as passengerside. Car is very reliable and starts right up anytime I want. gas guage not working. I require $500 deposit through paypal with in 24 hours. payment in full within 5 days. Not giving out reserve. No buy it now. On May-10-11 at 19:27:22 PDT, seller added the following information: clear nc title in my name. had a guy ask some questions about the car thought i would post my response. he asked if it was 6 or 12 volt and the tranny shape and such. here is what i wrote back...CAR IS 12 VOLT. TURNSIGNAL WERE WORKING. I LEFT THEM ON AND I THINK BLEW A FUSE HAVE NOT LOOKED INTO IT. TRUNK IS SOLID WITH A QUARTER SIZE SPOT IN THE sPARE TIRE WELL. I KNOW THE PASSEGER FLOOR HAS A PATCH ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PLATE. CAR IS PLENTY SOLID ENOUGH TO DRIVE AND FIX UP AS YOU GO. TRANNY SHIFT QUITE WELL ACTUALLY. FACTORY KEY SWITCH WORKS AS WELL AS THE FACTORY PUSH BUTTON START. GUAGE CLUSTER NEEDS SOME WORK. LIGHTS UP BUT NO SPEEDO. OIL and volts work. has aftermarket temp. heater works well. vaccum wipers work. headlight hi/lo work. brake light work. engine starts right up with no noises ticks or smoke. i am a restoration guy and if i keep it i will be doing a frame up and just dont have the time or money. were remodeling the house so some of my toys are going....for now. great old car. brakes are not the greatest. master cyl was rebuilt, new shoes on front all wheel cyl look pretty new. just shoot me that email and ill get some pics for ya. thanks
