You are bidding on a 1984 Mercedes 380 SE with NO RESERVE. You are also reading it right that this car has less than 53,000 miles. A couple of Mercedes buffs have told me I'm crazy for selling it this cheap. To find a Mercedes of this vintage with mileage like this is almost unheard of. This vehicle is truly a find. It is a beauty. The car has been very well taken care of and it shows. The light grey interior is near flawless. Carpeting and mats are spotless. The gunmetal grey paint is beautiful and the wheels and tires are newer, with about 80% life left on the tires. The trunk is spotless. The electric sun roof works perfectly. This vehicle runs well and performs as it should, cruising easily at 80 mph. It has spent most of it's life in California and now resides in Arizona, so rust is not an issue. I recently acquired the car from the owner who has been injured and will be in rehabilitation for a long while, so he decided to sell the vehicle. Although CarFax shows the car with no issues, it has indeed had some body work on the right rear door. From a distance it looks fine, but up close you can see the repair area on the lower panel below the door handle. I tried to capture it in the photographs, but it is hard to see. There is a small crack in the dash, but it is almost not noticeable. A couple of body dings; one in the trunk and one below the drivers door handle. Both of these could easly be pulled out with a dent puller. The pull knob to lock and unlock the right rear door is stripped, so the door is in the locked position - an easy fix. The air conditioning works but needs charging. I do not have the complete maintenance records on the car. The brakes could stand to be redone. Summing it up, this is a beautiful car that is well maintained and it runs and performs perfectly. With so few miles, this engine has thousands upon thousands of miles left in it, and the interior looks virtually new. Were it not for the right rear door repair, this car would be near perfect. This is a car you will be proud to own. As a new owner, you could certainly drive and enjoy the car as it is. It gets comments whenever people see it, and it is extremely classy looking. The wheels are perfect for the car, not too gaudy. To make it perfect, the door should be redone, a/c charged, new brakes, and dings removed. This Mercedes is begging to be made perfect by it's new owner and driven for thousands of future miles. Since Mercedes hold their value so well, this car could be driven for years and the owner should easily be able to sell it and recoup his investment.
