Vehicle Detail
THE TRUCK: this is a very nice 2000 ford f350 superduty xlt diesel 4wd automatic with 271k miles. it has power windows, power locks, cd player, cold a/c, very nice cloth interior. this has been my personal service truck for the past 4 years. it has been very well taken care of and being a mechanic i have done all the maintenance and repairs as needed and right now the truck needs nothing! it runs and drives perfect, starts right up and has been a great truck. i have decided to get out of the service call business so i no longer will need the truck. this will make someone a great truck. the truck itself is pretty much stock with the exception of a 4" exhaust and a banks command controller for the transmission. there is no engine chip or engine mods. the truck has good tires as seen in the pics and stainless steel wheel simulators. THE BODY: this is a custom built body that i designed and built myself, it is professionally done and you wont find another one like it! i tried to think of everything when building and designing this for my needs as well as being universal! this is a half utility bed half flatbed. the problem with a utility bed is you are limited to just a utility bed, you cant haul much in the bed of it and you can only access it from the back and you cant haul a gooseneck trailer. the problem with just a flatbed is you dont have any room to store tools or at least enough tools to work with, yeah you can bolt on tool boxes but it just ends up looking like a bunch of hodge podge! and you sure dont want that to be a reflection of your level of professionalism! say what you want but how your vehicle looks says alot about your company! enough about that. the tool bins are as deep as you can possibly go so there is as much storage as possible. there is bolted in tool boxes on the bottom that are a part of the body they stay with the truck also the air hose reel and torch reel also stay with the truck, they are both hidden inside the tool bins and are not only hidden but can be locked up behind the door preventing someone from stealing them as well as gives the truck a clean look. the body also has a built in air compressor mounted in the cage area (which is also lockable) that also stays with the truck as part of the body, it is permanetly mounted to the body and is easily accessable for maintenance, the air tanks are hidden, neatly and nicely under the truck so that they are out of the way, there is plenty of air storage and the water drain valve is very accessable. the compressor is a kohler 12.5hp with 200 psi. worked every air tool i have including 1" impact. there is 1/2" air hose on the reel. there is an aux battery mounted inside the upper tool bin that is wired in to the main truck batteries, i had it there to run my cordless battery tools and to keep them charged. you can see alot by the pics. there is also storage above the rear fuel tank accessable thru a door on the very back of the truck again to utilize as much storage as posible(i kept my blocks of wood there, ratchet straps, ect). there are two custom built drawers again as seen in the pics that are roller bearing slides that i kept sockets in one side and wrenches in another, they lock in place and pull all the way out for accessability. the aluminum toolbox mounted on the drivers side can be easily removed if you needed to entire bed space, there are 4 bolts holding it down and the nuts are welded in place from underneath so you can use an impact and pop the 4 bolts out and off comes the toolbox. there is a storage tank made to the back of the toolbox with a drain underneath. we used it to store used oil we got out of equipment till we could get back to the shop and drain it. it keeps the oil out of the way and from spilling out of containers and making a huge mess. there are plenty of welded in d-rings and hold downs for securing loads on the flatbed. the other side of the flatbed accross from the aluminum tool box is where i would put my welder, i didnt always carry it on the truck so i also made it easy to remove (if whomever buys it and you are going to mount a welder i can show you how i did mine if you decide to want to remove yours as well easily). inside the cage area where the compressor sits, there is a place for a bottle of welding gas and also on the other side there is a place for oxygen and acetyline bottles, the regulators are there and they to go with the truck as part of the body. the bottles of gas that you see in the pics DO NOT GO with the truck nor do any TOOLS you see in the pics only the things that i have mentioned. again this was my personal truck and i tried to think of everything at least everything that i needed and wanted out of a service type truck. you might want to add or change some things that work for you. if you have any questions about the truck feel free to give me a call @ 865-705-4956 mark. i may be leaving out some stuff but im sure you can tell alot by it through seeing the pics. all the bed lights are LED and there are work lights mounted flush into the rear tool bins. the only thing i didnt add that could have come in handy was inside lights in the tool bins. that can be easily done but that means you will be working at night, so maybe that will keep you from just working when its daylight! there is a reciever hitch as well on the back of the truck with a 7pin and 4 pin trailer connector as well as a brake box. the bed has been sprayed with the truck bed liner material. the tread plate decking is made from 1/4 tread plate as well as the bottoms of all the tool bins, this is a heavy duty bed. not that cheap sheetmetal that the rest of those beds are made from, this thing would take alot to rust out! like i said im sure im forgeting something so if you have any questions give me a call. i do reserve the right to end the auction early, the truck is also for sale locally. $500 deposit within 48hrs via paypal and the balance due within 5 days of end of auction and or sale. unless previous arrangements have been made. i no longer accept bank checks!
