Thanks for looking at our auction - these are getting harder and harder to find. . . . . .This is a 1989 Chevrolet Astro Van RS (Rally Sport) with an ASTOUNDING 28,345 original miles. . . .overall excellent condition . . . . It runs and drives LIKE NEW (it could be the only one in existence with 28k ) . . .it has covered just 1,288 miles per year. This is an estate vehicle - that was garaged from day one - RUNS AND DRIVES 100% LIKE NEW - it has NO RUST (undercarriage looks new) - suspension is quiet and smooth and steering is responsive and feels great . . it was owned by a 96 y/o woman - we have original 1989 Connecticut title - (showing her birthdate of 1915 on the title) - it was driven a couple times a week by an elderly housekeeper to take the owner to the doctor, shopping and the park. This would be a GREAT van if you are in need of a wheelchair / handicap van and dont want a HUGE . . FULL SIZE . . hard to park and drive Econoline or Ram van . . .here is the solution. . . .please note: this van does NOT have controls for a handicapped person (driver). . .it has a wheelchair lift and comes with a two year old motorized scooter (cost of scooter was over $3,000 and was used for ONE MONTH) - it comes with charger and appears to just need a charge - I plugged it in for a couple hours and the power came on and seems to be fine. this van can EASILY be converted back to standard Astro RS van with ease (if you choose) . . .should you decide to remove the wheelchair lift . . . .this would be great for a family, a work van. . . .I have a box of bolts and parts and other small items that were removed when lift was installed. . .this is a GREAT VAN ! ! ! transmission shifts fine, and the engine runs excellent . . .I see similar handicap vans (mostly Dodge Caravans selling for $7,500 and UP). . . This Astro Van was bought from an estate in Stratford, CT . . . . . other than the wheelchair lift. . . .it is 100% STOCK (has the original seats for the center (they are just unbolted ). . . . we just had all fluids checked / changed and freshened everything up, it's white with gray velour interior. . . .interior is VERY clean and was NEVER SMOKED IN (lighter and ashtray unused) . . .ALL the doors shut tight and firmly and with a solid "thunk" . . .it's really amazing. . . other than a small dent on the drivers fender. . .the body looks amazing. . . the wheelchair lift is a Braun and has the original owners manual and paperwork (as does the van) . . . .we also have several signs, tags and badges to let people know this van is being used by a disabled person. . . as you can see from the photos overall the van is beautiful. It features 4.3 litre-cylinder V6 engine, automatic transmission, a/c - p/s - p/b - p/locks - p/windows - factory fog lights - factory rally sport wheels - power side sliding door with hand held remote for lift operation . . . . the engine starts quickly and quietly and runs at the proper temperature and has no leaks and it runs with no smoke,noises or issues, It has the usual minor bumps, scrapes, dings, rust, soft dents you would find with any 20+ year old vehicle. . . . .VERY INEXPENSIVE TO REGISTER AND INSURE. . . .this 1989 Chevrolet Astro RS Van starts at just $1250 and sold NO RESERVE.
