1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS427 Convertible. 427 big block from an Impala, S&S Racing Transmission pro built Turbo 400 with a nice loose Hughes 3400 stall, 12 bolt rearend Posi with 3.73 gears. The usual add ons, MSD ,Holley, Edelbrock etc etc. Car sounds nice and runs very strong but also just loafs along if that is what you want, runs at 180 degrees all day long and holds 45lb psi even when hot. Car drives down the road very nicely, very tight, no slop in the suspension or steering, brakes pull you up straight and true, no rattles or bangs, just a real nice ride. If you could afford the gas she could be your daily driver! Interior is very nice in white, all lights and gauges work. Top is power and works perfectly and has glass back window in great shape. Floors, trunk and frame are all excellent. Bodywork and paint are very good, couple of rust bubble popping out bottom corners of both doors and thats about it. Power brakes, front discs but manual steering. Drive this car anywhere and have a blast, she will lay rubber at will anytime! If you have to ask about mpg then move right along! Obviously car was/is not an original SS car and they never made a 427 Chevelle . Was originally just a plain jane Malibu with a small block and auto trans with column change, may have even had a front bench seat too? Should be concentrating on what it is now not what it was.
