I am listing my 2001 Audi S4 Avant for sale. The Avant version of the S4 is rare, the Imola yellow version is very rare. I recently had an International Audi service tech tell me that he had never seen one before. This car is equipped with Xenon headlights, 10-way power & heated front sport seats, power & heated side mirrors, cruise control, interior air filtration, power sunroof, HomeLink, black leather interior, Bose 8-speaker stereo, ABS, traction control and ESP. It has the 5-speed Tiptronic transmission (like Porsche), which allows for manual shifting. The car was originally purchased in California and has spent most of its life there. A few years ago the second owner had it trucked to WI after failing to find one locally. I purchased it about a year ago, after he decided he needed a larger vehicle for his family. I looked at a lot of cars before buying this one and the S4 is really in a league of its own. The A4 doesn't compare at all to a S4. Even my wife (who is NOT a car person) was impressed with how solid the S4 feels. It currently has Continental ContiProContact SSR tires mounted on the original wheels. I also have a set of "blizzaks" for winter. With these tires and the AWD it is absolutely rock solid in the snow. The car is in great shape; much nicer than cars I looked at with half the miles. The underside is extremely clean, thanks to seeing only a few winters. The interior was professionally detailed last summer. The seats are in great condition with no worn spots. It has the original carpet floor mats and Audi rubber winter mats. The exterior had Ziebart's Diamond Gloss paint protection applied last year as well. The front bumper cover has the typical stone chips. Not an issue for me, but would be a very inexpensive respray to really make the car look great. It has a clean Carfax with no accidents or issues. The car currently has 106,000 miles. It has been adult driven and has never been abused , raced or tracked. This is a great car that I would not hesitate to drive cross country or sell to a friend. It averages 23.3 MPG. That is actually better than a Mini Cooper S I looked at recently! Service is up to date with the timing belt and water pump replaced at 80,000 miles. It also has recent new front rotors/pads and rear pads. The only thing it needs is an exhaust O2 sensor, but my Audi tech told me not to worry about it as the car has 3 others.
