1977 Honda Accord 1600cc, family owned vehicle since new. This car was purchased by my father in 1977 and driven by him until 1982 when I received my drivers license. I drove the Accord as my primary vehicle until 1988, at which time it became an occasional driver and remained so until several years ago when it turned into a conversational piece in the corner of the garage. The Accord was well equipped when purchased, including A/C which no longer blows cold but all the components are there, of course the eight track stereo has long since been replaced with a cassette player and the upholstery needs attention. The paint is not original; it was repainted in 1988 with two-part urethane and still looks good, with the exception for the right front fender. It was damaged five years ago, due to another vehicle driven by somebody that shouldn’t hold a drivers license, and painted by a “reputable” repair facility that didn’t put hardener in the urethane paint therefore the shine has gone away. The vehicle is extremely clean inside and out and it should be hard to find a cleaner one that has not undergone restoration.
