Vehicle Detail

1968 Chrysler 300 440, Auto This is one of the nicest original unrestored 68 300s that you will find. This car was purchased from the original owner in the fall of 05 when she could not drive anymore. This Chrysler has been garage kept and well maintained since it was purchased 42 years ago. The car has 111,000 original miles but looks and drives like it has less than half as many. The dark green paint is 100% original, it is starting to wear thin in a few spots from numerous washings over the years and the black pinstripe has almost been washed away. There is absolutely NO RUST in the car. There are some imperfections in the paint (common from MOPAR in the late 60s); these places give character that can’t be replaced with a repaint. All of the chrome is excellent including the bumpers; most 68 Chrysler front bumpers wear thin from water dripping off the hood. The decal from Sult’s is still in the center of the rear bumper from when she bought it new. The black interior is in amazing condition. Everything is original with the exception of the front seat, which was reupholstered with NOS material purchased from SMS 2 years ago. Even the dash pad is nice and not cracked! Everything works including the AM radio. The car is equipped with its original 440 and automatic transmission. It is equipped with power steering and power brakes but no AC. The car runs and drives as good as a two year old car. She kept this car serviced by her local Dodge dealer until it was sold. I have the original owner’s manual; build sheet, & window sticker. The car was ordered with the following options: Vinyl trim-bench seats (bucket seats were standard) 440 4bbl engine Body accent stripes-black Light package Torqueflite transmission Radio-golden tone AM Power brakes Power steering Clock, electric Tinted windshield Remote control left hand mirror Outside right mirror Deluxe lap belts Deluxe steering wheel Undercoating 3 speed windshield wipers H.D. suspension package 8.55x14 blackwall tires The total price for this car was 4406.65. This was a well equipped car and very well maintained. The factory undercoating has helped protect it for all these years along with being a garage kept car. This is a rare and desirable original Chrysler 300. A $250.00 deposit is due within 24 hours via PayPal. The balance is payable in cash, cashier’s check or money order within 10 days of sale date. A clear title that is in my name will be signed over to the new owner upon receipt of cleared payment! I would prefer the car picked up in two weeks but will work with the new buyer if more time is needed. If you are not serious please don’t bid! I am selling this car to the US and Canada only! The car sells as is where is but I will answer any questions and welcome anyone who wants to come and inspect the car prior to the end of the auction. Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing. Good luck bidding!
