Vehicle Detail

I am selling a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible in need of major restoration. This car has extensive rust damage but potential for a person willing to invest the time. It has a 289 bored out to 302 that was rebuilt and has only abput 10000 miles on it since then. Has a 4 speed auto transmission. This car has been in my family for 3 generations but unfortunately I must sell it. The title is in my name and ready to transfer. The car has new doors and a new hood however the hood was damaged. This is rare chance for a '66 Mustang CONVERTIBLE V8 with great history and its a california C-code. Email questions or offers to Compustar82@gmail.com Thanks. Shawn On Apr-24-11 at 20:36:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added some more photos. There has been huge interest in the mustang so I want to add some info to answer some of the questions at once. The car has not not ran in about 5 years but I know the engine is not frozen. My father parked it at a body shop to get restored (hence the new doors and hood) but the shop owner never did the work. I know the engine ran when he dropped it off. With a new battery and fresh gas, it would probably start right up. This was originally my grandfathers car and my father inherited it from him. It was in awesome condition at that point. I would like to see it restored to its former beauty however I have neither the time nor the money to do so. In regards to the condition of the car, There are rust through spots on both fenders, both quarter panels, the floor pan, and the trunk lid. I would plan on replacing or patching the fenders, quarter panels, floor pan, trunk lid, and cowl areas. The undercarriage and engine bay really only have surface rust I believe thanks to the factory coating that prevented rusting. Also, the fuel tank seems to be in good condition as well as the flowmaster exhaust my father had put on. I do have the rear seat cushions however I would recommend replacing them as they are in pretty bad condition. I am planning to run the auction through to the end unless I receive a cash offer I cant refuse. I will try to update this description as I receive and answer more questions.
