Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Mustang - Coupe Up for auction is my 1965 Ford Mustang "A" code coupe with the original 289 block, automatic transmission and factory A/C. The car is in very good shape as a daily driver and has been well maintained. I purchased it about a year ago from a private party located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently in the process of moving and no longer have the room to store it. VIN #/ DATA TAG: 5R07A194328 Body - 65A, Color - M, Trim - 22, Date - 03Q, DSO - 72, Axle - 1, Trans – 6 Number: 5R07A194328 Year: 5 1965 Plant: R San Jose, CA Body Series: 07 2 Door Hardtop Engine: A 289 4v V8 Unit: 194328 194328 Vehicle Data Body: 65A 2 Door Hardtop, Standard Interior Color: M Wimbledon White Trim: 22 Blue Crinkle Vinyl, Standard Interior Date: 03Q March 03, 1965 D.S.O: 72 San Jose Axle: 1 3.00:1, Conventional Trans: 6 C4 Automatic BODY COLOR TRIM DATE DSO AXLE TRANS WARRANTY NUMBER THIS VEHICLE IS MANUFACTURED UNDER UNITED STATES AND FOREIGN PATENTS AND PATENT APPLICATIONS A PRODUCT OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY EXTERIOR: This is a very beautiful daily driver that was repainted in 2010 (see paint sheet). The glass in the car is good with the windshield showing some pitting and a couple light wiper scratches. The wipers work. There are three small bumps and a light scratch on the trunk where boxes fell on it while in storage (drivers side/see picture). The chrome bumpers are in good condition with some small light surface pitting. The tires are all new and the hubcaps are in very good condition all the way around. The front end has all new bushings. All of the lights work. The turn signals come on but do not blink (I believe it needs a flasher unit installed under dash). INTERIOR: The interior is in great shape and is very clean throughout. The carpet, seats and door panels are all in good condition with no rips or tears. The dash does have two small cracks (see picture). The windows all roll up and down smoothly. The headliner is in good shape. It does have one small tear just above the drivers head (see picture). All of the gauges work. The horn works if you press down on the center of the horn ring. The interior chrome is in very good shape. The modern replacement radio does not work (this way when I purchased it) and there are two cutouts in the rear seat panel where speakers were installed (see picture). There is no spare tire in the trunk (see picture). The factory air conditioning works as it should and blows very cold. ENGINE/ TRANSMISSION: The car runs and drives very good. It has the original 289 block with the correct date code on the block for this car and the engine starts right up with no knocking or smoking. The motor runs strong and has the factory 4 barrel intake. I do not know the actual number miles on the motor or the date that it was rebuilt. On top of the intake is a 600cfm Edelbrock carb with an electronic choke. It also has an electronic ignition. The car does have dual exhaust with chrome tips too. The transmission shifts nice and tight but will show signs of a very small sized leak if parked for several days. The car is a very, very nice daily driver type car. The car is NOT perfect, but it is 45 years old. Please understand this before bidding. I have honestly described all of the known issues with the car since owning it. If you have any questions please email me and I will answer them ASAP. There's no warranty on the car. It is being sold "AS IS". The car may be inspected at anytime. There is a $500 deposit due (PayPal accepted) within 24 hours of the auctions end. The remaining balance is due within 3 business days of the auction closing (cashier's check, money order or cash in person). The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements with it being released after payment clears (usually 48 hours). Post sale inspections are welcome. If the sale does not complete for any reason the deposit will be refunded less any listing fees incurred. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. No overseas transactions considered.
