Vehicle Detail

1954 Chevrolet Convertible, frame-off restored, one of 3,640 units produced in 1954 (Serial Number: E54S002093). Color is Pennant Blue, one of 300 produced. Interior is beige, which is in excellent condition. The convertible top is beige, which also is in excellent condition. I have had this Corvette in my personal collection since 2007. The matching side curtains are located in the proper pouch in the trunk. Drivers side dated 3/54 & 4/54, Passenger side dated 5/54 & 5/54. The front vent window on the passenger side curtain is cracked. There are two original ignition keys, the trunk key is a newer GM replacement. The engine is the Blue Flame 6 cylinder (Engine Pad Stamp 0492264F54YG) (Block 3835911) (Head 3836241)with triple carbs and duel pot air cleaner. The carbs are Carter 2066SA (3706989). The transmission is the 2-speed Powerglide Automatic (3702602). It still retains the original washer jar. Mileage is exempt on this beautiful 1954 Corvette due to its age. This car starts and runs wonderfully, and is driven only a few hundred miles each summer. The WSW tires are showing some age, but are very presentable. They have always held the proper amount of air and drive nicely down the road. This 1954 Corvette was restored between 1998 and 2000, and shown at the 2005 Miami Valley NCRS Meet, taking a Second Flight award. The paint is in very good condition, and what is really neat is the paint on the dash is the original paint from 1954. During the restoration the previous owner decided to retain this bit of history to the car. There exists a history to the car dating back to 1959 in Dayton, OH. Details will be provided to the successful bidder. Most everything works as it should, including the gauges, horn, lights, etc. with the exception of the radio speaker. The Signal Seeking mechanism works, no sound. The windscreen is a replacement. There are a few paint defects, you would have to look hard to see them. This is a 1954 automobile, I suggest a personal viewing of the car prior to purchase. It's a 1954, it doesn't drive like my 360 Modena or my Ford GT, but it is pretty cool!!! I will include a 6V Battery Tender with the purchase. Clear title in hand! According to the Corvette Black Book, all 1954 cars were produced with the following options: Code 100 - Directional Signals Code 101A - Heater Code 102A - AM Radio, Signal Seeking Code 290B Whitewall tires, 6.70x15 Code 313M – Powerglide Automatic Transmission Code 420A – Parking Brake Alarm Code 421A – Courtesy Lights Code 422A - Windshield Washer Please call Pete at 260-414-3105 with any questions.
