Hello, I am the owner of a 1987 Mercedes Benz 2.3-16v Cosworth. This specific car was only imported to the US for two years, 86-87, in limited colors of smoke silver and pearl black with the only interior option of black. This 190e has had a major overhaul done, it has had its engine and transmission recently rebuilt with completely new OEM parts from the dealer installed in it. It has only a thousand miles on the motor and trans currently, basically brand new front suspension parts, still has the original functioning SLS suspension in the rear with no problems, new tires all around, and a brand new OEM oil pan that had to be ordered, made and shipped from Mercedes german facility. As for the interior it is the original RECARO interior that was included with the car when it was sold from the dealer and is in very good shape for the age of the car, the rear seat has barely ever been sat in as the same for the passenger seat. The driver seat shows normal wear on the side like all the other 16v's. Overall the car is perfect with very little rust, it performs amazingly with plenty of power and pep in it. There is only very minor problems with the car: First is that when cold the car starts but shuts off, you must warm the car up to 50 degrees celsius and after that it is fine. The other thing is there is some body work that is needed to be done, the hood needs repainting the paint is chipping, and there is two small dents on the passenger side that can very easily be pulled. Other than that it is a very reliable car that doesn't leak any fluids and drives amazing.
