Vehicle Detail
This custom restoration has been a labor of love and truly has to be seen to really appreciate the work that has gone into it. There are a few things left for someone who wants to tinker but it's mostly down to small details (painting bolt and screw heads, etc.). The bike was totally disassembled. The frame, swingarm, stands, battery box and a few brackets were powder coated. The body work, engine, wheels, brake calipers and everything else was painted with Sikkens rally black paint. The engine was totally rebuilt with new crank bearings, rod bearings, piston rings, (pistons were fine), a new set of valves, with valve job, all new gaskets, a new clutch, a new starter clutch. Carbs were rebuilt. Fuel tank sealed. All mechanical work was performed by myself, (a Honda technician for twelve years), and a Honda Master Tech that I worked with for many years. K&N air filter installed and exhaust replaced with a stainless SuperTrapp. Ignition igniters replaced. Battery is new. Seat is by Corbin. Wheel bearings replaced. Shocks are new Progressive. Fork tubes are new Honda parts with Progressive fork kit. Swing arm bushings replaced. Brake calipers and master cylinders all rebuilt with all new parts. Brake hoses replaced with stainless steel lines. Brake pads are new EBC. Tires are new Dunlops. Replica decals are from the Old Bike Barn. The tank decals did not fit properly so we made a template and painted them on. I am including a bike cover, a Battery Tender and a set of Rask rear set controls that I decided not to use. "Thanks" for looking. Please feel free to email with any questions. I also have a ton of positive feedback at audiogon.com, under mike1diver. (audio equipment is my other hobby).
