Vehicle Detail

This is a one of a kind find! I just finished this truck for a business that I was starting and never got off the ground, I was never even able to use the truck once! Now the truck has to go. The truck is a Cummins powered 1989 Dodge w300, 5spd (with PTO)(upgraded to nv4500 from a 2ed gen dodge), 4x4, with a 9' fisher minute mount plow, and in-closed utility body. The P.O.(previous owner) replaced the cab, doors, fenders, radiator support, and hood with parts form a Air Force airplane tug. These were all rot free. The tug was somewhere down south and never saw any salt or harsh weather. I had the cab shot with white at a local paint shop in November. The dash and instruments are all from the original truck and were transplanted into the new cab. He installed seats and a center console from a Ram Charger and mounted them to the stock bench seat mounts so there are no new holes. At the same time I had the truck painted I had new glass installed in the front and rear windows. The rear is a slider. The P.O. also upgraded the transmission to a nv4500 with the heavy duty clutch pack at the same time he did the body. The trans shifts smooth and the clutch grabs nice and strong. The utility body was bought by me in October and fully rehabbed. The underside was wire wheeled and coated with POR15 as was the outside anywhere there was rust. I sprayed the outside with 3 coats of automotive black. Its not a professional job but it was done right and looks good. New glass was installed in the front window of the body and all locks were made to work so every door latches and locks as it should. I do have ladder rack bars for the roof of the body but one of them is bent and I did not put them back on but they will be included. The plow is a fisher minute mount with a 9' blade. Everything works as it should but the cutting edge is worn and there are a few patches welded on here and there. I did notice the driver side angle cylinder is starting to leak around the piston seal. I have never used the plow so I don't know how new this is. The engine starts and runs great. When I bought the truck it had a set of P.O.D. injectors in it. These smoked way to much for me and I traded them for a nice clean set of stock injectors. She puffs a small could when reved from a idle but runs nice and clean down the road. The turbo I know nothing about other than it's a hybrd and it will push about 32-34psi when asked to. For a big truck this thing gets up and boogies! There are pryo and boost gauges in the dash to keep an eye on things. The brakes were done by the P.O. in the last year or so and it stops nice and straight. I know the steering box was also replaced with a upgrade from the stock one but I have no idea which one he went with (I will try to get him on the phone to find out). Tires are all in good shape with one rear one down to about 50% tread but all others have more. This truck is a blast to drive and I really hate to sell it but it's just too much money to be sitting around not being used everyday. I have not driven it for the last 5 months until today. This tuck needs a new owner that will make it earn its keep doing what it was designed to do, blow coal and work hard! I've posted a video that's kind of long but does show the truck being started and running, this is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWRTUDPODrA Truck is sold as is where is, I have the title in hand so make sure you have the money if you bid. Please contact me with any questions you have and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks Update: I have just taken the truck out to run around town and go to home depot as I realized the registration was still good. This was the first time I've driven it this year and with the body on it. I want to make it clear that this is a 22 year old truck, ya there has been a ton of work done to her so she is much better than most the same age. But It still rides like a 22 year old truck. There is a shake coming from the rear end that I think is the tires or how they are centered on the studs (look it up in the forums and you will find steps needed to center them). And there is a noise coming from the 4 wheel drive shifter that goes away when you put your hand on it, I think its rubbing on the cab floor. Overall this is a very easy truck to drive and it's a lot of fun. On Apr-24-11 at 15:17:23 PDT, seller added the following information: This is the answer to a question I was asked, I had a friend who knows more about these things than I do help take a look at the truck: I did not mean to come across too harsh but through all the years of selling here and there I've had just one to many no-pays or no-shows. The cab and front sheet metal on this truck are really clean. It was flat army green right from the air force when I got it. There is no evidence of bondo or rust at all. The utility body is real clean on the outside and inside the compartments. Underneath the support channels are starting to rust but it was by far the best one I looked at and was of no concern when I bought it looking to use it for the next 5 years. The frame from the cab back is painted and looks good, 2 cross members have been welded in due to factory ones being cut out to fit a dump body. The front of the frame has rust on the surface but is structurally there. From what I know none of these things effect the truck in a negative way, It is in my opinion that this truck is in much better shape than others it's age.
