This hard to find and beautiful scout traveler is being sold at NO RESERVE!! I have included A link to over 133 large close up pics of every square inch of this scout of both the flaws and the good sides of the scout as I Do not Want The New owner or I To Have Any Surprises When They Show Up To Take The scout Home, so please look and read carefully and ask any and all questions:). http://img21.imageshack.us/g/img4673j.jpg/ and http://img694.imageshack.us/g/img4573u.jpg/!! 1976 was the first year of the scout traveler that is basically a stretched scout ll with a additional 18 inches giving it a 118" wheel base. Will the top still comes fully off it is fiberglass un like al the other models that have metal ones and it also has a fiberglass lift up one piece rear hatch instead of the heavy tailgate and lift gate set-up. The additional space is a nice bonus for camping, larger families, or if a 3rd row of seats is needed to be added. This clean little traveler has a great look of originality with a couple custom touches and has been well cared for and has had alot of upgrades over the years including a cosmetic restoration. It came from the factory in this nice subtle green exterior called Grenoble green with the factory saddle color interior you see. It still retains its original books, manual and brochures and even has a pic of a traveler in the brochure the exact way this one rolled off the assembly line. BODY/EXTERIOR- Nice solid and sound body that has has a complete factory repaint of original colors of black top, silver grille and green body and to include all door jambs, both sides of doors, inside rear hatch, and fender jambs. New decals, restored ih emblems, new seals for front and rear glass, body bushings, new weather stripping at around both doors and new door sweeps in doors for side glass. Top has never been off since re-assembled after body work so seals are uncut. Most of these travelers are very prone to rust and this one as you can see by all the under pics is very solid from top to bottom!! No dents or major paint issues just a couple minor bubbles at very bottom of quarter panel in front of rear tires. Fresh 31" raised white letter Bridgestone dueler tires on custom aluminum wheels with a matching 5th spare finish it off. ( please look at all pics on link and shoot me a email if more is desired) INTERIOR- The interior is most original and in great shape. The factory rust starting rubber mat is long gone and floors from front to back were sanded down adn enitre inner tub was covered in bedliner for rust prevention and lifetime of good looks. Door panels and dash is in exceptional condition and all gauges work and are crystal clear. Pad has no crackes, life time non smoker vehicle so lighter still works if you need to plug in phone charger or ipod. Seats are 35 years old and very nice for age with just driver side showing typical wear with cracks and some foam showing. Full custom roll cage was added for looks, stability and safety. It has custom carrier built for matching spare in rear and is bolted through body and then anchored all the way to frame so it is 100% professional and quality job. Over all very clean and respectable interior. DRIVE-TRAIN / MECHANICAL 20k miles on Rebuilt 345 V8 with rebuilt factory carburetor. Rebuilt radiator with all new hoses and clamps. Tank pulled with new sending unit, fresh lines from front to back, new fuel pump and filter, air filter, alternator. Solid shifting o727 auto transmission, dana 20 2-speed transfer case, automatic hubs, Dana 44 axles front and rear with power disc brakes up front. Fresh exhaust and dual mufflers out back. Drives vry solid and sound with no smoking, squeaks, rattles, pulling, death wobble or any other issues. just a nice dependable cruiser!! OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS TO MAKE NOTE OF- This scout is a great looker and you will get a ton of enjoyment and thumbs up from on looker and admirers on this one. keep in mind even though it looks outstanding for being 35 years old it did not receive a 100 point frame off restoration, but simply had anything replaced along it's life to keep it looking like new. Door weather stripping is still like new and not yet broke in so doors still need to be shut pretty had , but will shut like normal once they brake in. All chrome and trim is original and not re-plated or replaced. It is a driver and has been enjoyed there is a couple small rock chips in paint, but no more than any average 3 year old suv driving on the road today!!
