Beautiful older professional frame-off restoration of a clean and original 1951 Chevrolet 3600 Truck. Runs and drives great. Tight and rattle-free. Completely taken apart and rebuilt bolt by bolt to it's present condition. Beautiful engine compartment with a period correct Offenhauser cast valve cover on the original Stovebolt Thriftmaster 216. All new under hood wiring carefully hand fed through NOS woven fabric looming. Period correct labeling all through engine bay. Recent valve adjustment, new plugs, rebuilt carb with new accelerator pump and new mechanical fuel pump. Stock 4 speed manual with granny low running through a rare Watson Transmission, Brown - Lipe (brownie), Spicer Model 41 High/Low auxiliary transmission (splitter) with PTO capabilities (see pics). All the running gear is in great condition. Braking system has been intelligently upgraded to an under floor hydrovac power brake unit that can't be noticed unless you climb underneath. It uses the stock pedals in the cab. It steers well and tracks straight down the freeway with no wandering. Interior is in great condition. Paint and body has been completed to a high standard. All windows and doors have new rubber molding and weatherstripping. Cab was near rust-free to begin with and what little there was has long since been completely removed. There is minor paint cracking on the hood and passenger side fender and a bit larger crack on the roof which can't be seen unless you are looking down from above. Other than that, the entire body is excellent. Flatbed and rails have been custom built with great craftsmanship. They are bolt on and easily removable. Overall, this is a great truck that has been made even more drivable because of the splitter and power brake upgrades. It would be a fine addition to your collection.
