Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1966 Dodge Coronet 500. Originally from Texas as proven from state inspection sticker on windshield (1989). I have owned this car since September of 1997 and it has enjoyed indoor winter storage every year since then. The car’s exterior was cosmetically refurbished at some point before my tenure of ownership. This car was originally red. The interior enjoyed new seat covers, but the rest is refurbished orig. The car was originally equipped with the “poly” 318 engine. This engine dropped a valve and wasn't worth repairing. I replaced that engine with a time period correct “1967” 383 engine and 727 trans out of another 1967 Coronet. The engine was rebuilt using .060” over Keith Black hypereutectic pistons. The stock “516” heads were freshened with new valves, guides and springs. A Mopar 484 camshaft and Harland Sharp roller rockers were used. The original crank and rods were checked and re-installed. ARP bolts were used on the engine internals and topped with the MOPAR alum resto intake and an Edelbrock 750 carb. Stock dimensions and a stock 10:1 comp ratio was maintained. Have recipts. The running gear is all stock with new brakes all around. I installed a dual master clyinder along with the correct junction block. The drive shaft has had new U-joints installed and balanced just last summer. The 15” American Racing wheels were bought and installed along with the BFG tires. I still have the original 14” steele wheels with the correct 4 hub caps mounted on BFG silvertown redline tires that go with the car. I did take off the factory A/C components when I made the engine swap, but they were saved. I have a correct big block compressor to go with the 383 engine config. I updated the headlights with modern halogen sealed beams as well as updated all of the running and brake lights with higher wattage bulbs. Most every electrical component operates except the radio; which has no speakers in the dash board. The wipers and washers all work great with the factory style aluminum wiper blades. This is a great running rust free car which was driven twice to the MOPAR nationals in Columbus, OH. I recently became interested in Ducati motorcycles so it is time to move on. If there are any questions or additional pictures you want please Email!! This is my attempt of selling on Ebay so let me know how I can be of assistance. I have other pictures as well.
