This little binder has been a back burner project of mine for a while and i am moving shops so i would like to slim down on a few rigs so i can get better situated at the new place so this one is going to highest bidder!! I have had it for sale locally but only serious bites on parts and i refuse to part this one out because it really does have alot of potential and hope to find it a good future home here as a offroad or restoration project. True miles are unknown and It always fires right up and drives solid but i do consider it project and please read through ad as i will list why. BODY/EXTERIOR- Nice solid and sound start with only evidence of cancer at back floor corners on both sides, but its in a nice flat area that can be patched with little evidence of work done. Rockers, doors, body mounts, hood , window frame and rest of floors in very solid an sound shape. Usual surface rust to open areas under side as any old under carriage does but can be wire wheeled right off. This scout has been punished with a couple cheap paint jobs and rattle can attempt over the years, so it can be rough on the eyes, but if you can look past that you will see the beauty and potential. Both front fenders are a little ripely,but rust free( another set comes with and a nice set of 2 can be made from the 4) Driver quarter has section of past bondo toward top that has chipped off ( replacement oem quarter comes with but you could just pull dent and slim coat with little bondo)( please look at all pics on link and shoot me a email if more is desired) INTERIOR- The interior is 100% original and intact, but seen better days and is not embarrassing but these have very basic interior and can be restored very cheap in several different ways . The rear mat is very nice, but front carpet is aftermarket and rolling up in places. Front seats need exterior redone. Rear seat is in nice shape. DRIVE-TRAIN / MECHANICAL I installed new valve cover gaskets, oil change, fuel pump, points, condenser. and drained tank and filled up tank with fresh fuel.The motor is the original 345 8cyl with manual choke and never fails to fire up, but runs little rough and may need a good tune-up and timing set and has a lifter that recently stuck but is very quiet and only noticed when hood is up and your standing outside, nice shifting 727 auto transmission and dana 20 2-speed transfer case, Dana 44 axles front and rear with power disc brakes up front. This scout is basically original from 1975 so it has some little leaks here and there, but nothing major or to be concerned of. OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS TO MAKE NOTE OF- Many ask if they can drive them home and if you live close i'd be all in but if your a far distance i would ship. While i think it would make it without major issue it just would not be fuel efficient or enjoyable with running rough, no stereo and it has been a while since it has been a prime daily driver so you would have to plan for the unexpected.
