This is a rare solid Canopy Express Truck that is in very good condition. It has been sitting in a garage for the last ten (?) years after someone started to restore it and apparently ran out of funds or skill or both. I bought it with the idea of finishing the job simply because it was already in such good shape, but tough times have made that something I can no longer hope to accomplish, so on the market she goes. I had the engine running when I bought it but the car is not drivable due to clutch and brake issues. It will have to transported. It's all there, though, and is very solid. The original stovebolt six is still in place and the truck is original except for the seats which have been replaced. It is apparent that some body work has been done over the years and more is required to fix areas where turn signals had been installed at one time on the front fenders and in some other areas. I have the running boards that you can see in the photos had been removed. I bought some replacement parts from Chev's of the Forties which will go along with the truck, including brake shoes (and springs), rear wheel cylinders, and king pins. (Total parts value: $310.00). These go with the truck. This is great vehicle that is hard to find and will be easy to restore or rod. Come take a look at it in Gettysburg, PA and you'll be convinced.
