franks66 store 1984 GMC S-15 S15 S-10 CREW CAB PICK UP TRUCK 4WD 32" THIS IS FOR A 1984 GMC S-15 CREW CAB 4 WHEEL DRIVE PICK UP TRUCK.HAS CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME.COMES WITH:3, 32" X 11.5 R15 TIRES WITH OK TREAD. UNFORTUNATELY THE FOURTH ONE HAD BEAD DAMAGE AND COULD NOT BE SAVED. IT HAS A 15" SPARE ON IT. COMES WITH THE RIM THAT MATCHES THE OTHER 3. THERE IS AN ADJUSTABLE LADDER RACK. I AM KEEPING THE C CLAMPS HOLDING IT DOWN IN THE PICS, BUT I CAN PUT SOME BOLTS IN IT FOR TRANSPORT.IT HAS A FULL SIZE HITCH, UNSURE OF THE CAPACITY OR MAKE. IT WILL NEED THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WORKED ON. I HAVE TWO NEW FRONT REPLACEMENT FENDERS. THEY ARE PAINTED BLACK PRIMER. THEY HAVE SAT IN THE GARAGE, SO THEY ARE DIRTY, BUT READY TO INSTALL. I PICKED THIS TRUCK UP LAST YEAR TO FIX UP FOR A WORK TRUCK. I HAVE PUT ABOUT A THOUSAND MILES ON IT, BUT HERE ARE SOME ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED ON THIS TRUCK. IT RAN ROUGH WHEN I GOT IT. SOME ONE HAD SCREWED UP ALL THE VACCUUM LINES AND TOOK SOME OF THE VACCUUM VALVES OFF. I TRIED REPLACING LINES AND HOOKING THEM UP CLOSER TO PROPER, BUT IT STILL RAN ROUGH AND BURNED TOO MUCH FUEL. I EVENTUALLY DECIDED TO REBUILD THE CARB. I OPENED UP THE CARB AND FOUND BROKEN PARTS AND MISSING PIECES. SOMEONE HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN IN IT BEFORE, AND LOOKED AS TOUGH THEY USED A HAMMER TO REBUILD. I LOOKED FOR PARTS BUT COULD NOT FIND THEM, SO I PICKED UP A CARB OFF OF EBAY. IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN REBUILT BY HOLLEY? THE CARB CAME OFF A CAMARO I THINK. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE THROTTLE LEVER IS SET UP FOR MANUAL TRANS, AND THIS HAS AUTOMATIC, SO THERE IS NO HOOKUP FOR THE KICKDOWN. IF I WAS KEEPING IT I WAS GOING TO TRY TO USE THE ONE OFF OF THE OLD CARB, WHICH I STILL HAVE IN PIECES. IT ALSO COMES WITH A REBUILD KIT FOR THE CARB THAT I NEVER USED. BEFORE THE WHOLE CARB THING THE FRONT SEAL ON THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. SO I DROPPED THE TRANS AND REPLACED THE SEAL. AFTER THE CARB I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT A COUPLE OF TIMES. THE ENGINE RAN BETTER BUT ANOTHER PROBLEM POPPED UP. THE TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES GOING TO THE RADIATOR ARE SUPPOSED TO BE METAL LINES. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY MUST HAVE BROKE, AND SOMEONE SPLICED IN RUBBER LINES. SINCE IT IS JUST RUBBER TUBING OVER STEEL LINE, THERE IS NO LIP TO HOLD THE RUBBER, EVEN WITH THE CLAMP. I DON'T KNOW IF RUNNING IT WITHOUT THE KICKDOWN INCREASED THE TRANS PRESSURE, BUT THE RUBBER LINE HAS POPPED OFF TWICE LEAVING ME STRANDED. I ONLY DROVE A SHORT DISTANCE EACH TIME FOR TESTING, SO I DON'T WANT TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT IT HAS HAD ALOT OF MILES WITHOUT THE KICKDOWN LINKAGE. I GOT ABOUT A MILE THE FIRST TIME IT CAME OFF, AND ABOUT TWO MILES THE SECOND TIME. SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN PARKED.I HAVE FOUND A FULL SIZE TRUCK THAT FITS MY NEEDS BETTER, SO I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO PUT ANY MORE TIME OR MONEY INTO THIS TRUCK. I THINK SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A PROJECT COULD PROBABLY DO SOMETHING WITH THIS. THE BODY HAS SOME RUST. IT COMES WITH THE REPLACEMENT FENDERS. THE P/S SIDE DOOR HAS SOME AT THE BOTTOM. THE FLOORS ARE NOT RUSTED OUT, AND I DID NOT SEE ANY SERIOUS RUST ON THE FRAME. THERE IS SOME RUST AT THE TAILGATE ON THE BED, BUT TAILGATE STILL WORKS. ASIDE FROM WHAT I HAVE LISTED ABOVE THESE ARE ALL THE THINGS I KNOW TO BE WRONG WITH IT: THERE IS NO STEREO, IT DOES HAVE SOME SPEAKERS. WITH THE BIG TIRES THIS THING SHOULD HAVE A BODY LIFT. WHEN TURNING SHARP THE STEER TIRES WOULD RUB. I ENDED UP RUNNING NORMAL TIRES IN THE FRONT WHEN I DID DRIVE IT. THE FRONT SHOCKS NEED REPLACED. THE HEATER CORE NEEDS REPLACED. THE TRANSFER SHIFTS INTO 4 WHEEL, BUT THE FRONT AXLE IS CONTROLLED BY VACCUUM LINES, AND THESE ARE DISCONNECTED. SO I AM NOT SURE HOW WELL THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS. THIS VEHICLE IS FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. IT CAN BE VIEWED BY APPOINTMENT IN TIFFIN, OHIO. DUE TO THE TIRE SITUATION AND TRANSMISSION LINE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE BE TOWED OR TRAILERED. VEHICLE STARTS AND WILL DRIVE, I JUST MOVED IT TO ANOTHER SPOT IN THE DRIVEWAY. BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PUTTING IT ON THE STREET AS IS.THAT IS ALL I CAN THINK OF RIGHT NOW, IF SOMETHING ELSE POPS INTO MY HEAD I WILL ADD IT. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS. Add: THE EXHAUST SEEMED SOLID, BUT THERE IS AN EXHAUST LEAK AT THE DONUT GASKET ON THE DRIVERS SIDE MANIFOLD. THE SPEEDO, FUEL GAUGE, AND I BELIEVE THE VOLTAGE GAUGE WORK. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE REST. THE INTERIOR ISN'T TOO BAD FOR ITS AGE. SEATS HAVE A FEW RIPS IN THEM, BUT OVERALL IT IS PRETTY CLEAN. IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS HAD FLOOR MATS MOST OF ITS LIFE. THE HEADLINER HAS FALLEN AND HAS BEEN TACKED BACK UP. ALL THE GLASS IS INTACT, AND IT DOES NOT SEEM TO LEAK WATER IN. THIS TRUCK WAS PROBABLY WELL TAKEN CARE OF UNTIL THE LAST PERSON HAD IT AND PUT THE BIG TIRES ON IT, ETC.SORRY ABOUT THE LONG LISTING, BUT ID RATHER WRITE IT ONCE. ** this vehicle is being relisted due to no communication from the buyer Payment is due within 5 days of the close of the auction.
