The new 4dr was meant to compete with the Big 3's new compacts, The Ford Falcon, Chevy Corvair & the Plymouth Valiant. The Rambler came standard with a flatead 6 cylinder engine. Its low price (approx $2000), and high gas mileage (30mpg) kept it very competitive with the Big 3's compact cars. This original classic runs unbelievably well. If you have the nerve to be different, you will really enjoy driving and showing this classic. You can bet that you will be the only one anywhere to have one and this car draws an incredible amount of attention. Someone always has a story about one.It has had a real nice repaint in its original color. There are some very minor scratches but nothing noticeable unless your looking. There are no dents and absolutely NO RUST. All chrome is nice! it has lost some of its luster but again, NO RUST & no pitting either. The interior is original and is also in great shape. There is a small tear in the cloth of the drivers side seat. It is on the seam and is probably fixable with a needle and thread. Aside from that, the interior has held up incredibly well and looks great. Everything works including lights, directionals, wipers, heater/defroster and both gauges. The car is radio delete. It has a new coil, new battery, recent tune-up, heat riser and more. Mileage is 66500 and probably accurate as these cars werent made to go very far. This car needs NOTHING at all. Looks great and runs just as well. As long as your expectations arent sky high, youll really enjoy this car. Its a real attention-getter too. Its a Rambler!! Seen one lately?? So ugly its cute!
