Vehicle Detail
Beautiful restoration of body, mechanical components, paint, chrome, interior fabric/upholstery, headliner, rear deck liner, seats, carpeting, interior fabric/trim, and all drive train and engine components in 1989. Detailed photo diary of the 1989 restoration included with purchase. The engine was completely re-built as original in March 2008 when the odometer read 65,004 miles. Today the odometer reads 67,157 miles. This original restored 1956 Chevrolet Model B-210/235 is a 2 door sedan post style with the original engine and radiator and very smooth automatic transmission. All the restoration work was performed to keep the car as original as possible, and not to turn it into a custom hot rod restoration. All of the interior door panels, seats, hood & rear deck liners & trunk areas & even the spare tire cover are custom upholstered with silver/gray raised fabric. The chrome wheel hub caps are painted and restored with the original Chevrolet design unique to the 1956 models. Dashboard metal and interior trim areas & even the back of the rear view mirror are painted to match the exterior color of the vehicle. The rear shocks are air adjustable with the air fill valve located in the trunk. The battery has been custom re-located into trunk. There is also a battery cut-off switch (to eliminate theft) located inside the trunk area under the rear deck area. There is a stereo FM and CD player located inside the glove compartment, with two speakers hidden behind the interior door panels and two more speakers hidden beneath the rear window deck fabric. All speakers are out of sight to maintain the original factory appearance of the interior of the car. Heavy chrome trim surrounds the interior of the 4 side windows and the 2 vent side windows. The car starts easily, runs smoothly, and is a pleasure to drive in stop and go traffic or out on the expressways. The completely re-built engine has less than 2500 miles on it and will provide years of great performance. The car has current license plates, registration and title in my name from South Carolina and is garage kept in Sun City, Arizona since March 2008.
