Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a classic '04 Bonnie in excellent condition, nothing at all wrong with it. This is the beautiful teal and gold color as you can see in the photos. The best color, in my opinion. The bike has a bit less than 11K on the OD, mostly highway miles. From 5 feet away it looks very much like a new machine. Close inspection - and I mean close - will reveal the odd blemish here and there that is the result of taking the bike on the road. I have tried to document the major imperfections, photographically, but I may have missed a few. There is one rock chip on the tank (SEE PHOTO) about the size of the head of a carpet tack. It is the worst blem on the bike because it is on the tank - everybody including me hates tank damage. But only the clear coat was chipped away, the paint is still in tact, there is no dent in the metal. This is a used bike and must be viewed from that perspective. It is not showroom, but it is extremely clean and anyone would be proud to own it and ride it. Mechanically, it is perfect, nicely broken in. The most recent major service was completed around the 10K mark and everything checked out 100%. My mechanic said other than an oil change, he didn't need to see me for another 6K miles. For what it's worth if you are new to Triumph Bonnevilles, my mechanic also said, "we don't make any money servicing these machines because hardly anything ever goes wrong with them." The tires are new. Why am I selling? I have too many bikes for my two car garage. I'd rather sell my BMW f650 because in my opinion the Bonnie is a better-built machine. But the Bonnie doesn't go off road very well, wasn't meant to, and one of the two has to go. I am the 2nd owner of this bike. I bought it with about 890 miles on the OD, an ostensibly new machine. I've changed the oil and filter every 3K. This auction is for the MOTORCYCLE ONLY. NO ACCESSORIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. The HIGHWAY PEGS and BAR visible in the photos ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE, but can be purchased separately at a fair price. I recommend them. The CENTER STAND visible in some photos IS LIKEWISE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE, but can also be purchased separately. The stand is useful for maintenance work. Both will be removed prior to the bike's being picked up unless the buyer wishes to purchase either item, or both, and we agree on AN ADDITIONAL PRICE PER ITEM beforehand. Once again. THE HIGHWAY PEGS and the CENTER STAND are NOT INCLUDED in this sale. If you are in the market for a Bonnie you can buy a new one for around $8K or you can buy this one for several thousand less. If it were me, I'd buy this one. I live 20 minutes from the Las Vegas airport. On Apr-08-11 at 18:40:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Addendum: An ebay member and Triumph aficionado has pointed out to me that the true color of this T-100 is "British Racing Green" not "teal." My apologies to watchers and bidders. Anybody who was bidding on a "teal" bike who'd like to retract his or her bid is free to do so.
