Vehicle Detail
This MGB runs great and has had most all mechanical systems upgraded/replaced or rebuilt. The prior owner was responsible for most mechanical work. Many cosmetic items have been done including interior, some exterior lights and most rubber (except around windshield and side windows. I have a great deal of past paperwork that lists engine rebuild parts and other items. A sample of the items include: -electronic ignition -radiator and fan, oil cooler -clutch/ and clutch master cylinder -steering assembly and suspension -all brake systems -exhaust I cant say for certain how many miles on it since the work but during my ownership I have driven the car at most 1000 miles and the past owner was a weekend user also. The odometer has not worked since I have owned the car so I can make no claim as to actual mileage. This is a fun car that handles and runs great. In addition to the work that I described it has been rewired with new push in fuses and has not had electrical glitches. The paint (not original) is aging but looks fine as a daily driver but not as a show car. The top works fine. It has been repaired in its time with some stitching but looks good. The only reason I am trying to sell is due to space. This is one of seven cars and moving them around the garage is getting old. If it does not sell I will use it for the summer and store again in winter. There is one mechanical problem to disclose. Every so often the starter misses the ring gear. I manage this by pushing through the gears or moving the car and inch or so in gear and its fine. It has never stranded me. I have a new starter solenoid to try when I get it out. It started this after I changed the last solenoid. The starter is new. I have not taken the starter off since so I cannot rule out the ring gear on the flywheel. Not a terribly big job. I have taken this into consideration with the reserve price. There are pages of parts and work that was done on this car. During my time with the car I have not come across much that has not been redone. I have tried to disclose much of what has been done but there are many details that I have not added but can be seen in the pictures. This car is being sold as is with no warranty. The reserve is 3500 less than I have in this car now. A deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of auction close. Balance is due within 7 days of auction close. Will accept bank check or pay pal. If bank check is used will not release car for shipping until check has cleared and confirmed by my bank. Will consider personal check but will hold car for 7 days after check clears my bank. Shipping is responsibility of buyer but will be available to meet your arrangements
