Vehicle Detail
For Sale a 1977 Automatic Mustang Coupe with a Moon/Sun Roof - LESS than 100 MILES on a PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT ENGINE--Back a few years ago when we started restoring this car we put a NEW Fuel pump, NEW fuel filter, NEW air filter, a NEW Carburator NEW Solenoid, NEW Radiator, NEW Shocks(reg and gas), NEW Spark Plugs&Wires, NEW Hoses NEW battery some NEW gauges etc... 80% restored---it won't take much to get his car up and running-- Another gas tank, new tires, new brake line possibly new gas line. and it should be ready to go.....give it a good shiney paint job and it will look sharp! It has never been wrecked that I know of! It's a strong Steel car! As you can see in the pictures--it has some rust below the half Vinyl top and around the door guard window edges and mirror but this can be easily fixed---There is NO RUST ON THE UNDERSIDE and the floor boards are solid!! The sun/moon roof cranks open real fine and does NOT leak. The leather seats are in good shape only the driver's seat has a small split in the seam area (see picture)...the interior walls are in good condition. All the glass is in good shape and the windows roll up and down---I have keys, a clear title that says "Classic Orginal" on it---and I have the mustang metal symbols that go on the trunk area and on the side. The brake line needs repaired/replaced. IT WILL START but it will not stay running if the fuel tank is low on fuel. I had purchased a USED gas tank and had it reconditioned on the inside and my husband installed it on the car. BUT the tank was BENT INWARD a little from the UNDERNEATH SIDE I didn't think this would be a problem and the people that reconditioned it NEVER said it COULD cause a problem with the gas pump receiving the gas--BUT it is MY THEROY that the fuel PUDDLES in THE BENT AREA when the gas gets LOW and after the pump sucks the gas out of THAT bent area it gets starved for gas and quits running!! NOW--I arrived at this conclusion because when my husband was taking it to town he only put a LITTLE BIT of gas in the tank and the car ran fine but quit running after he had went a few miles down the road-- the gas wasn't getting to the carburator---SO he "jerryrigged" a hose from the gas tank along the OUTSIDE of the car to the carburator and it started right up and ran fine right on into town and back home about 12 miles total. I have another gas tank that is not bent that came off another mustang and that Can go with the car..I also have a spare wheel. It has sat for 10 years and since we are not into restoring cars and we had other cars to drive then we just gave up on finishing the restoring of this car---it's not our style car--it's a car more for a teenager or a more limber person we are grandparents...we need something a little higher off the ground!! If you need more info please feel free to contact me thur E-bay messages and I will do my best to answer your questions...thanks! This 1977 MUSTANG is being sold as is, where is, with NO WARRANTY expressed, written or implied. Descriptions and representations are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. I have made every reasonable effort to disclose any KNOWN defects associated with this vehicle. thank you and happy bidding!
