For sale is my son's 1979 Honda XL 75 that used to be his pride and joy some 10 years ago now. ( I remember I got a brand new yellow SL 70 in '72 with procedes from my paper route)This bike is very forgiving to a learner, has great torque and fostered his desire to ride bigger bikes...Like the '84 Husky 500 XC thats now his baby. As stated....This bike was not started for 10 years but was preserved nicely. I removed the old fuel from the tank, changed the oil and gave her three kicks and she started right up....definitely a testament to Honda. 1) The clutch plates are worn and need replaced. ( replacement plates are $40.00 for the entire set) 2) The bike has nicks and scratches...a dented tank. The Fork caps will need to be replaced. These bikes are very trendy and desireable as pit bikes and I've seen a few XL 75's and SL 70's go for upwards of $1200.00 on ebay when restored. Not being that ambitious though...more interested in the garage space......Bike is sold as is ..Great dependable bike for a youngster to learn on be it girl or boy.
