1978 MGB Good solid driver. I bought the car in the fall of 2002, the guy I bought it from thought it was 10 years since he had it painted. Current odometer reading is 58667 and I believe this is correct. I have installed the overdrive with new clutch and pressure plate, detailed the engine bay and trunk. Installed new gaskets and seal in the engine and transmission before reinstalling. I also switched it to dual carburetors - manual choke - no cat, this adds 10 - 15 hp. New - Brakes, all hoses, stainless steel exhaust, convertible top, front suspension bushings, Illumination ignition, converted to single cooling fan, dual fans are still in place. All the electrical works as it should, updated the starter relay to the Triumph TR6 relay, much heavier duty. Pioneer AM/FM/CD/MP3 with 4 new speakers. Interior is in good condition carpet and door panels are faded, seats look good. Paint is in good condition for 20 years old, a few nicks, dings, and bubbles check pictures. I haven't found any signs of bondo, but there does appear to be a small repair in the front inner fender, and the usual trunk lid support repair. There is small dent on the left front fender, I can not get it to show up in the pictures. Engine runs great, does not smoke. tempeture gauge just under 1/2, idles @ 750 rpm, and has 75 lbs. oil presure. The transmission is solid, over drive works great. No reserve - $500 deposit within 48 hours - I can work with buyer for shipping/delivery. Preferably 1 week or less as I need to make room.
