Vehicle Detail
Violet Baluea is her name and California she was until I brought her back to the cornfields of Iowa....This vintage beauty is a perfect companion for those up and coming classic family camping trips, be sure to pack the marshmallows...so here is the scoop on this beaut. I purchased her in Los Angeles and she made her way to iowa via flat bed and had the life of leisure going on Sunday drives for ice cream and being parked inside when not. My husband and i used her for our wedding a year and a half ago and she was a bluemachine dream, running great then but has not been since. We have had many traveling adventures since and are getting ready for more so wanting to find a new home for Violet....soooo if you are still interested here is the scoop....got her in lala without knowing how to drive a stick to begin with, but just thought she was the coolest thing. Had some work done on her clutch while out there and ran great until we tried to start her this past summer and would not turn over. Not sure what is a matter and going to leave that up to the new owner to give her a full check up. i never plugged it in to see what works and what doesn't, we just drove her around the area and never camped. the drivers side window does not want to stay up as well as getting in the drivers side, the door doesn't want to open so needs looked at. no tears in the pop-top and has the small original hammock with it. the drivers side seat is great, but the passenger side needs re-covered. some wear and weather damage that was there when i bought her on the some of the side paneling but the golden vinyl is in good shape, as is the fridge and the sink (working? do not know). there is a radio in the glove compartment that came with and has stayed there since i purchased. since i bought her about four years ago, she has had probably about 500 driving miles put on in those four...needless to say she is wanting to hit the road a bit more with the new owners and i am wanting someone who will love her as much as i have. if you have any ?'s let me know and i will do my best to get them answered. if interested in violet she is a pick-up only and will have to haul her away, but i know she is worth the work. thanks so much for looking...
