Hello, for sale here is a very nice and rare 1999.5 MK4 Volkswagen Jetta with the super economic 1.9L TDI engine which delivers 40+ mpg fuel economy. Here's the story behind the car: I had lost my job and i undertook this car as a little project to fill my free time. I'm very experienced with VW Diesels and Audi cars so this is like a walk in the park for me.The car's previous owner had the engine out because the timing went wrong and hit 6 valves. I completely dissasembled the engine, put new seals everywhere, new head gasket and 6 brand new valves which were fitted on the head. New timing and water pump is also installed. She's good to go for another 60k before timing job is due again. On the positive side: -It is a full load GLS model -Very rare Canyon Red color which i had to repaint due to fading clear coat, no dings no scratches, no missing pieces -Car was antirusted at a local shop for the past 10 years (proof stickers are on driver's door for each year) -Beige leather interior with all extras, heated seats, power heated mirrors, electic door locks and windows, cruise control, original stereo and CD player also Sunroof -Glass all around is intact except a small stone chip on passenger side front windshield -Tires are Michelin Arctic Alpin 50% left in front, about 60% in rear, on 15'' original alloy wheels -Engine is strong, no leaks, no puffing, easy starts, i've changed whatever needed to be changed on it, i have the bills to prove it -Brand new brakes all around, and handbrake works perfectly -Transmission shifts with ease in all gears (it is manual 5 speed) - IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC!!! -No weird noises no clunking no whining, no Check engine or any sorts of lights indicating trouble (i have the software to check the car's computers) On the negative side: - While i was doing the paintjob, there are 3 places where clearcoat quantity is too much and it kind of dripped, easily fixable at any body shop for less than 100$ (they usually sand it down and polish). Now i would've fixed it except I don't have the products nor the time due to my new job. -A/C system needs a fillup, lines were removed due to the engine being out NOTE: Car was in a rear collision back in 2004, has been repaired by insurance and has passed the required state safety inspection (decal proving it is on windshield) The car has a Quebec title and is located 15 miles north of the Champlain NY border crossing, local pickup only and you are in charge of importing if sold in U.S (the car is admissible without any modifications) I require a 500$ paypal deposit and the remainder of the selling price CASH on delivery of the car.
