Thank You for looking at my Auction, I have decided to reduce my collection by a few cars so keep me on your watch list. I have several cars and trucks as I am a collector. I will be listing 1970 or older vehicles as I decide which ones I would like to change up. Unless specified please expect what is written in this listing. Have video of car on site listed below. 1953 Mercury Monterey set up like a 50's style cruiser led sled. Color is a black purple. The car has a Chevy motor and when decoded has same block number as a 327 or 350. Not sure which one. Has rebuilt carb, all updated wiring. Electric fuel pump with gas pressure regulator and high pressure brake lines. Brakes are drum. Car has custom dual exhaust with custom tips that sounds really nice. Motor is HEI ignition, new alternator, starter, drive shaft and shocks. Trans appears to be updated and shifts well but leaks just as well from the front seal. So expect to service this if you buy it. The motor has it's typical drips and sounds you would expect from a high mileage motor. So expect to service this as well. Steering has play. Tires are old school but have nice tread. Interior is white- was updated at some point in its life along with new carpet. Headliner is new but amateur installed. Has a b&m style shifter, automatic with lock out reverse and neutral safety that works. All the bumpers were restored and that chrome looks really nice as well as the tail lights and dummy spot lights. Has continental kit and cruiser skirts. The paint had an amateur buff and has buff marks all around the body. I'm sure it is easily remedied by a professional or could be flamed (as I wanted to do) and re-cleared. Floor, trunk and frame all look clean from what I can see. Gas gauge works- has some after market gauges that work as well. Heat is not hooked up but all is there, lights work, blinkers etc. I put in a new battery and drove it down the road. This is a good start to something and deserves more than sitting in my garage getting older. See the video, ask all questions, or better yet come see in person. This car was acquired through an estate and has sat for some time before me as well. I consider any car over 50yrs old a project so expect just that.
