Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1955 Chevy 2 door post. It has a 305 V8 engine, automatic transmission, 4 barrel rochester carb. 275/60/15 Bf Goodrich tires on rear and 205/60/15 Bf Goodrich tires up front. All windows are in working order up and down. Front and rear windows are in good condition with no visible cracks. Electric windshield motor working good (a lot better than the older air pressure wipers). Chrome valve covers and Chrome air cleaner. Nice looking interior (front seat is from a cadillac with power option) Custom instrument cluster (oil pressure, temp). Fuel gauge, speedometer and odometer are not working. True mileage on the car is unknown what do you expect it's a classic hot rod. This is a running and driving wicked '55 chevy. I was working on getting it fixed like the American Graffiti / Bob Falfa Black '55 but have decided to move in a different direction. Currently this car is my daily driver and it runs well and shifts smooth with no issues. Starts right up and gets you where need to go with no problems. Clear Texas title. The car does need some bulbs replaced (rear stop light is out). I believe it has a bad ground when the lights are on the passenger side parking lights are dimmer than the other side. No horn and the front driver headlight does not work on highbeams. The tranny does have a leak not to sure where it is coming from, I just check it on a weekly basis. It does have some body filler on the rear quarters that shows some cracks but can be repaired when you get ready to get in the shop. No headliner but I do have the rods that go across the inside top. Driver and passenger side window has cracks but all windows work properly. The floors are pretty solid and the inner trunk is pretty solid to. Over all this is a great running / driving project. Drive it as it is or keep making it a Bob Falfa '55 clone. Buyer responsible for all shipping cost! A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction closing and contact must be made within that time frame or you will be reported to Ebay as a non-paying bidder! Remaining balance is to be paid in full within 7 days of auction ending. The vehicle will not leave my property until cash in hand or all funds have cleared my bank. Only bid if you are serious of owning this classic hot rod. Good luck and BID TO WIN!!! On Mar-21-11 at 12:54:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had some requests of the undercarriage, so I took a few pics and posted on the auction for you all to review. This is a running and driving project, ready to hit the road. Keep in mind I will be keeping the antique plate that is present on the car. You will have to get a new one once you transfer title and register under your name. BID TO WIN!
