1979 Honda CR 250 Elsinore Motorcross twin shocker. This rare Honda just out of a 10 yr dry storage. The spark plug was removed and The cylinder was well lubed with mystery oil, this bike will need The carborator cleaned and oil changed. To start, this bike has original tires both front and rear, the inside of the gas tank looks like chrome ( being aluminum). Gas tank has all original paint and stickers and is dent and ding free. The seat is in great condition but has one small cut in the top of the middle of the seat ( see pic) rest of seat is mint. the original fenders were painted years ago. The suspension both front and rear is in excellent working order. i am a 270lb rider and when i sit on the bike it is plush. The clutch side cover behind the kick start 2 bolts appear to have been over tightend and cracked at the tip of the casing behind both bolts ( i took close up photos of this to show you the cracks) being on the top of the motor this does not affect anything. I do have a local friend that does weld motor cases if someone local bought this bike, his prices are very reasonable and this would be an easy fix for him. The front brake appears to be stuck, cable appears to be okay. Brakes should be taken apart and cleaned. The factory pipe and silencer are absolutely beautiful. The air filter on the bike should be replaced. This bike has very high compression. I would avise you to wear boots when trying to start this red rocket!! Good luck bidding Honda Fans!!!
