Vehicle Detail
This Corvette is in pretty good condition both inside and out. It is not perfect. It does have some common scuffs and nics in different places around the outside. The inside shows very well. The photos show that the dash is in excellent condition. There are no tears or significant wear on the seats or the center console (console latch does not work but stays closed with a velcro strip). The carpet and floor mats are in good shape with no significant wear. The horn wiring did not work so there is a horn button installed on the lower part of the dash under the steering wheel. The electronic lumbar adjustments do not work. The electronics to adjust the seat forward, back, etc. work fine, just not the lumbars. The stereo is a Pioneer Super Tuner AM/FM CD with removable face plate and remote. The heater only seems to blow through the vents by the feet and the defroster vents on the top of the dash. The "Check engine" light has come on at times but I've had 2 different shops tell me it is a problem with the gauge, not the engine. The nics on the outside include (but may not be limited to) nics around front license plate, nic at front left corner of front driver side fender, scuffs on rear bumper, various other small nics from commom use. The weatherstrip between the windows is not perfect but it does not leak. The window tinting on the side windows and the rear window is after market. It is mostly in good condition but it is not perfect. Drivers window shows a little peeling on the top back corner, but it does not affect the function of the window and does not seem to be worse. The engine runs strong and I have put a lot into this car to get it into good working condition. The 5.7 L 350 V-8 is extremely powerful but still gets very good gas mileage. I have been getting close to 20 MPG on the highway going to work. There is less than 5000 miles on the newly rebuilt transmission. It also has a new spark plug wire set and spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, and a new rack and pinion assembly. All other lights and switches seem to be in good working condition. Brand new rear tires at 121,000. Front tires are still in good condition. Overall the car rates about a 7 out of 10.
