Too many cars would like to consentrait on one. This is not a 20k car and nor is it a 10k car it is not uncomon to see these 4 spped fairlanes fetch 25-30 k on ebay but its not your 6k basket case either this is something in between. This is a nice little GT fairlane with a 390 and a 4 speed this one was ordered with one thing in mind going fast!!!! it was ordered with no radio, no heater ( i have all the heater core and all stuff for it to put a heater and radio back in it if the buyer wants it) I think it came with factory 411 gears but i will need to verify the tag on the rear. You cant make out the color and rear end ratio codes on the drivers door tag but the rest is all readable. Speedo reads in kilometers so i assume it was orderd for export. Paint and body was done over 20+ yrs ago. The Owner liked it smooth and clean only emblems he wanted on the car were the GT emblems on the fenders, no ford across the trunk and no fairlane on the quarters. I took everything off the car and had it buffed so that is why it has no stripes and GT emblems on the fenders, I have new white stripes for the car but havent put them on yet and it could use better gt emblems for the fenders. Interior is real nice for its age it WILL need the front buckets recovered to make it nice, or drive as is your choice. The paint presents very well for 20 years old some day it will need a re-paint but for now it looks beautiful !!!!!! Bumpers are re-chromed, tail lights are very nice, grill is very nice, headlight buckets are nice, New gt emblem in the grill, new coils springs, new shocks, Drive train is all original never been out of the car, so i was told and it appears to be true by the looks of it. Numbers matching engine it is missing the original holley. Toploader shifts smooth and still has the factory shifter, it doesent look likr the clutch or anything has ever been replaced but it holds well. I am very familiar with the fairlane's the trunk is exellent shape with no rust, the rear frame rails are exellent with no rust ( they normally get bulgy and rust from the trunk down into them and rust out bad), rear floors appear to have no rust same with passenger side floor pan, drivers looks like it has a quarter size spot on it. Front torq box is in nice shape Glass is all very nivce counsole is very nice, hood is very nice what elase can i say!!!!!!!!!!!! Wheels are very nice tires are near new im sure i have left something out so just ask Body man what can i say there is no rust coming through any where the body appears to be very nice for a old car. any questions please call 402-690-2279 thanks and yes i have a clear title in hand.On Mar-14-11 at 19:39:02 PDT, seller added the following information: ok it appears that the axle code is 3.25 and i think that is whats in it, i was off one the revolution per pinion rotation. I have had about 50 emails on the reserve so here it is my reserve is $13500 and i feel that is fair for what the car is. I have yet to find a 390 4 speed car in that price range. I dont think you will find a much nicer car for the money either. Just gave it a oil change and new spark plugs i will prob keep messing with it till it sells. On Mar-15-11 at 21:08:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok just gave it a fresh tune up new plugs, cap, rotor, oil, filter, fuel filter, carb was off, i reset that, re-timed the engine car runs awsome!!!!!!!!!!! still has some old gas it was pretty yellow but i put fresh stuff in it should be good after a few miles,old plugs looked great no signs of oil consumption. Car has sat for several years just trying to get it ready for its new owner!!!! car is close to the reserve so im sure it will go. I also have availible for the buyer a std bore 428 HD block with std/std 1UB cj crank c7ae-b rods , performer RPM intake, and GT exhaust manifolds for an extra $750.00. I was going to put the original engine aside and beat on the 428 but never got that far well thats it for now good luck!!!!!!!!!
