Vehicle Detail
1988 CHEVROLET BEAUVILLE G20 SPORT VAN - No Reserve! This is a retired church van. It was a 15 passenger church van used to pick up people for church services. It was bought new by the church and used only on Wednesday and Sundays for services. We decided to retire the van from active church use in 2006. When the church Board decided to sell the van, I (the pastor) bought the van for my personal use. I will give my best description of the van and its history. Would make an excellent, dependable work van with lots of rear space! Note: A $500 deposit is due immediately at the end of the auction. The balance may be paid at the time of pick up via cash. If the winning bidder chooses to pay the entire amount via Paypal, there will be a $40.00 "handling" charge to offset some of the Paypal fees that I would have to pay. NOTE: I would not hesitate to get in this van right now and go anywhere in the country. While it is an older model van with visible signs of aging as the pictures show, it is very dependable!!! Also, I have the van for sale locally, as well as on Craig's List. I reserve the right to end the auction and all bids early at any time. This van was meticulously maintained by the church, as far as oil changes and all other maintenance services. It has front and rear air that is ice cold. The rear seats have been removed and insulation covered by 1/2 inch pywood covers the rear cargo area. Over that I have installed a low-pile indoor/outdoor grade carpet. I personally used the van to make several trips from Taccoa GA to Indianapolis IN and back, as well as from Taccoa GA to Nashville TN and back. I removed the seats and covered the floors as described above in order to use the van for hauling merchandise that I bought for re-sale from a company in Indianapolis. SPECS: Rebuilt Automatic Transmission. On one of my trips from GA to IN the transmission went out. I had a rebuilt transmission installed on that trip which cost over $1,400.00. At the time of the repair, the van had approximately 103,000 miles on it. The repairmen stripped the port where the speedometer cable plugs into the transmission, and now the speedometer doesn't work It is frozen at 55 MPH. It first began by showing the speed at an incorrect one and then froze up at the displayed mileage. My best estimate is that the van has about 108,000 miles on it. Almost new tires. Last year I had brand new tires installed at a cost of more than $600.00. Comes with a good spare and jack. Ice-Cold front and rear airconditioning. Doesn't use any oil between changes....Doesn't smoke, knock, etc. Fuel Injected 5.7 Litre engine. Recent tune-up with new spark plug wires, rotar, distributor cap, plugs, air filter...the normal and usual tune-up things. Fairly new brakes. The brakes are in great shape and very dependable. Two-tone paint job. Blue with white top. Tinted windows. AM/FM Radio with Cassette player. Automatic windows and door locks. The passenger's window has stopped going down. It began by the switch not responding at times, to simply the switch doesn't work and needs to be cleaned or replaced. Excellent tires. The van was re-painted after I bought it from the church, due to the church's name being lettered on the sides and rear. As the pictures show, some of the paint is pealing but there is NO RUST on the van anywhere! I was given an estimate of $550.00 from Maaco to paint the van, excluding the white top. If someone wants to buy this van and fly into Nashville and drive home, I will gladly pick you up at the airport and send you on your way. You wouldn't have to worry about the van's dependability. It is a vehicle and things do go wrong, even with new ones, but as I stated earlier, I wouldn't be afraid to go anywhere in this van.On Mar-11-11 at 20:51:58 PST, seller added the following information:I neglected to add to the description that this van has a heavy-duty frame-mounted trailer hitch:It as well has heavy-duty chromed bumpers, which provide more than a little protection in the case of a sudden jamming. \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
