1991 PEUGEOT 505 SW8 TURBO Up for sale here is a 1991 Peugeot SW8 that was bought new by a close friend of mine in December 1990 for $29,000. The car was dealer maintained up until I purchased it about nine years ago. I have logged an average of only 1600 miles per year. I have never driven this car in the winter. The car has always been garaged mostly in a controlled environment; I have five Peugeots on the road and will be selling three nice ones in the coming weeks on eBay. The SW8 is a truly amazing automobile; they can carry eight people comfortably with a weight carrying capacity of 1200 pounds plus a trailer capacity of 2,200 pounds. plus you can fit a 4X8 sheet of plywood inside the huge cargo area! With 93,000 miles this car has very little signs of wear. The paint is bright and shines beautifully with a few minor scratches in the clear coat. The left rear quarter panel could be repainted due to a stain under the fuel door and a scratch and small dent near the tail light, shown in the photos. The radio will not take the security code so it does not work. The car has a couple dings and scratches but overall a fine example of a twenty year old Peugeot. The interior is very clean with very little sign of wear. This car is a real pleasure to drive and has plenty of power with the Turbo charged engine. I love to drive this car, on the highway she cruises very comfortably at any speed. Peugeots are one of the nicest driving automobiles ever built, ask anyone who has ever driven one. I recently replaced the rear wheel brake cylinders, brake shoes and the parking brake cables along with the exhaust system and installed a new windshield, also has new Bridgestone tires. Parts that have been replaced are the heater and air conditioning control, air conditioning condenser, a/c pressure switch, and expansion valve. Also a Transmission switch, Turbo actuator and fan belts. This is a road-ready car and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. However, it is a 20 year old vehicle, so keep that in mind. The car comes with the original jack and tools, the owners manual and leather binder. Parts for these cars are easy to find. There are many suppliers and I will be happy to include a list for the new owner. Also, the online Peugeot Owners Club is a wonderful resource for information.
