NOTE: NO ZERO FEEDBACK BUYERS, PLEASE! I purchased this car in 2001 as the 2nd owner (I even have the original window sticker). I have put almost 100k on the car since then, and it has been extremely reliable and trouble free. A new addition to the family necessitates a larger vehicle otherwise I’d not be selling it. The car runs perfectly. The body is in excellent condition with only a few very minor dings. Interior is clean with no significant rips or tears to speak of. On the highway, I get 30 mpg; around town, it’s good for 20-22 mpg. The car has a new timing belt and water pump (installed 11/10, about 1k miles ago). Tires are relatively new and have plenty of life left on them. I have serviced the car at every major factory interval and I have complete service records for the nearly ten years we’ve owned the Accord Wagon. Here are the issues you should be aware of: SRS light is lit constantly. I paid to have the light “reset,” after which it stayed off for a few months and then came back on. Our mechanic says it does not necessarily indicate a problem with the SRS system, but it could. There is a small tear in the rubber lip that attaches to the bottom of the front bumper (see photo). Power antenna no longer goes up and down. It is stuck in the up position; although, it does make noise as if it’s attempting to work, whenever you start up the car. A small piece of rubber door sealing trim has come loose from the front driver’s side doorframe. It can be manually reattached or glued into place. The clear coat on the roof has failed completely. Good news is it is an easy repaint with very minor prep work required. I got a local quote of $250 for this work; you might be able to do better if repainting the roof is important to you. The power lock in the front passenger side no longer operates automatically. It does work manually. All four power-windows work but are very slow, especially in cold weather. AC blows cold but probably could use a recharge. The JVC stereo works great and includes a remote control, but the CD player is flaky. I know you’ll love this car as much as I have. It’s stylish, reliable, and efficient in a way that only Honda can do. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
