1969 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster - AZ Car - AC - Barn Find - No Reserve! All my No Reserve auctions are TRUE NO RESERVE auctions!!! This car is selling to the highest bidder no matter what the price is, so bid often and don't miss out. Good luck to all the bidders!! Well maybe not an actual barn find but a desert garage find, in the Prescott, Arizona area, where it has been sitting for 23+ years! Here is a 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster loaded with several Rare options and the first year for the second series of Jaguars! It is, I believe; a life long Arizona car and the title that goes with it, shows registrations back to 1973, here in sunny Arizona! It has been driven and enjoyed by the same family since the early 70's and was parked in 1988 with the intention of restoring it some day, but recently they came to the conclusion that they will never get it done, so their loss is your gain! It was last run and driven about 5 years ago and we have recently started it and it runs great, but it will need some additional maintenance to make it roadworthy and trustworthy again. We believe that the 66,143 miles showing on the odometer are actual miles on the car! Loaded with the following options:: -258 CID Twin-Cam 246 HP 6 Cyl Engine -4-Spd Manual Transmission -Factory Air Conditioning -Chrome Knock-off Wire Wheels -2 tops including Hardtop Odometer Reading: 66,143 (Believed to be original) VIN Number: 1R9982 As you can see in my photos, this is still an impressive looking Classic Jaguar! The body is 99.99% rust free and is really as rock solid as you would expect an Arizona car to be! The paint is cracking and faded. In the interest of full disclosure, I will mention that it has a small dent in the front corner of the hood, a few tiny blisters in the left rocker and the paint is lifting off in a few areas with only some light surface rust but nothing major and these few small areas should in no way affect the value of this otherwise rock solid Jaguar! The body is actually in very nice condition otherwise and would make a very easy and straight forward restoration for anyone, even a novice! There are no other signs of any prior accident history. The underside is untouched original and is rock solid as my photos show! The chrome, for the most part, is still in fair, driver quality condition and would easily be rechromed if you want a 100 point show car. It has the very Rare hardtop as well as the convertible top that has been taken apart, rechromed and is ready to be reassembled. The front grill bar is missing and the windshield is cracked. It is a very complete car otherwise. The interior is very complete and in decent original condition and would eventually benefit from a new upholstery kit. It still sports it's original leather seat covers and they are surprisingly still soft and supple and could easily be used as is! The gauges are clean and appear to be in good shape. Most of the gauges work and I believe that it will not take much to bring everything back to life. The Rare factory air conditioning system appears to be all in tact! We did get it running again with an auxiliary fuel supply and the engine sounds great! The gas tank should be dropped and cleaned to assure that there will be no future problems. The hydraulic brake and clutch master cylinders should be rebuilt and the brakes gone through to make it drivable again. A lot of the gauges come to life with the ignition on. It will definitely need new belts and hoses as well as a tune up. The tires are decent but older tires and the exhaust is relatively quiet. Please keep in mind that there may be some unknown maintenance involved due to its' age and length of time in storage. I believe that it is basically a sound car mechanically and that it was not parked for any mechanical reason, but rather a lack of interest on the prior owner's part. The car definitely deserves to be totally restored, but it wouldn't take much to make it a fun, driver quality car either! The early XKE Jaguar is truly one of the most iconic and recognizable of all the 60's cars of the period and there are few cars that compare! These are some of the fastest appreciating and most sought after collector cars in the market today and this is a nice, easily restorable example of a classic English sports car! Loaded with desirable options and virtually rust free! A RARE and seldom seen any more, Garage Find! Offered with NO RESERVE for a quick sale! Please email or call Bob Adams at (480) 314-0669 or (480) 628-4778 or Bobby at (480) 226-4018 with any questions and I can help with shipping quotes and arrangements. I welcome International bidders!
