Vehicle Detail

Relisted Due To Non-Paying Bidder kbpn2 Thanks for wasting my time buddy. Please make sure you do your Transportation Research prior to Bidding to save everyone the trouble. Things that were cleared up in questions on the previous Auction (since they don't carry over on a Relist): -The Vehicle History Report provided by AutoCheck reports the car as a Citroen because the VIN Schemes Differ between USA and Mexico (where the car was imported from). -The Vehicle History Report lists the Mileage in KM not Miles because the Speedometer/Odometer is in KM. -The Vehicle is currently Titled as a 2004 because the only information they had (when I Titled it) was the Factory Build Sheet which lists the Warranty Start Date as 12/31/2004. I can assure you it is a 2005 Peugeot 206 XR after all of the research/parts ordering I have done with this vehicle. You can also tell from the VIN # it is a 2005 Model. When you Renew the Title in your name you can leave this as is (it affects nothing, as such I never worried about it) or you can fill out some paperwork and get it changed over to 2005. -You can see the Drivers Side Interior Lower B Pillar Trim missing in one of the pics, I have put this back on. -I got the Timing Belt replaced approx. 8,000 Miles ago, so you will not have to worry about that. -NO RESERVE AUCTION- Now this is something you don't see everyday, if ever. An Imported 2005 Peugeot 206 in the USA. It has a 1.4L 4 Cylinder with a Manual 5 Speed. Unfortunately the only reason I am selling it is because it was in a collision a few months ago. But there is no way I was gonna let this rarity get sent to the junker, I bought it back from the Insurance Company. It ran like a dream and got an average of 44MPGs during my ownership (topping off at 52.5MPG on one fill up). The Body Shop claimed it a Total Loss because they didn't have the resources to repair it, but the damage is 75% cosmetic. If you know a bit about Body Work and are interested in Unique and Rare cars this could be a steal. Parts for these vehicles are not as hard to find as you'd think. Rockauto.com has all the necessary general maintenance parts, and anything else can be found on Ebay.co.uk in MULTITUDES. Here is the BAD and the GOOD. BAD -Damage to the Front Driver's Quarter and Passenger Door Panels. (see pics) -Control Arm and Tie Rod on Driver's Front Tire look as if they were bent on impact. Camber is off and they will probably need replacement. -Few Balded Tires on the stock set of 14" Wheels -Steering Column Wiper Switch doesn't function. (I have installed a toggle switch in it's place) -Interior Dirty. (The whole interior is in great condition, I just haven't cleaned it. see pics) -Dead Battery because the Body Shop left the Ignition in the Accessory position. (this is also why the trash bag is over the Driver's Window. The Glass is there, but Power Windows prevent me from rolling it up) -No Air Filter. I transferred the Cone Filter I had on there to my new vehicle. GOOD -Registered and Titled in Virginia and 100% Street Legal in the USA. Check with your local laws because it may not pass Emission Standards in your State (if required for inspection). -2 Full Sets of Wheels and Tires. 14" Stock Wheels (some tires in rough shape) and 13" Custom Wheels (tires barely used). -Full Set of 20mm Spacers and Extended Wheel Bolts for the 13" Wheels to give the 206 an even sexier stance. (see pics) -Clean VA Title under my name. VA lets you keep the Clean Title if you buy it back from the Insurance Company. Renewal in new state with new buyer may change Title Status. -Original Peugeot Wallet And Documentation that came with the car and the Original Build Sheet from when it left the Dealership in Mexico. (see pics) -HARDcover Haynes Workshop Manual and misc receipts from work that I had done to it along with my Gas MPG Log from the entire time I owned the vehicle. (see pics) -Various Misc Parts And Bulbs. 3x Oil Filters; Replacement Cigar Lighter; Misc Bulbs and Specialized Peugeot Tools. (see pics) -Engine and Transmission leak no fluids anywhere, before or after the accident. -Transmission goes into all gears flawlessly. I was heartbroken after the accident because this vehicle is so Rare in the USA, but I just cant stand to see it rot in some salvage yard. Please bring this car back and give it the long life it deserves. It is lightweight and a rush to drive. You can customize it with some aftermarket parts and have a slick fast racer or you can drive it eco-minded and get 50+ MPG like I did. Please see my Fuelly MPG Log here http://www.fuelly.com/driver/goatfarmer03/206 . Either way you will get some interesting looks and a lot of questions about how you found such a unique vehicle. The bidder accepts all responsibility once the bidding ends. $200.00 will be due within 24 Hours and the remainder will be due within 7 Days or on pickup (whichever comes first). I extend no warranty of any sort to the buyer, this vehicle is sold AS-IS. I will assist with any transportation they choose, but the cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION with a minimal start bid. Whatever it bids up to is what I will sell it for, you choose how much you want to pay for it. Don't miss out on a chance to own this very rare (in the USA) car. On Feb-05-11 at 09:46:47 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE Feb 5th 2011: A friend of mine was nice enough to link my Ebay auction on his rare car Blog, and a member of that blog had this to say about it: "I dont' know why the owner is selling it honestly. That car can easily sell for thousands $15,000 and up at the dealer auctions such as Manheim or Adesa. I actually saw one back in 2009 go for over $16,000+ due to the rarity. I am a mechanic. The car does not have frame damage, mostly the fender, and cosmetic repair indeed, batteries, control arm possibility. I have seen cars much worse shape then that. That car is very rare. So rare, that if restored it makes it a prized possession in the right market." I have no idea what Manheim or Adesa are, but this is good news for someone who can put forth the effort to fix this car up. It doesn't change my mind about the auction though, whatever this auction goes up to is what I will sell it for, so bid with confidence. Good Luck All. On Mar-06-11 at 08:54:08 PST, seller added the following information: You can see in a flat tire (on the 13" rims) in a few of the pictures. I took these to a shop and got them repaired so they are all full of air and they look great. I also pulled the battery and I will try to get it charged or perhaps buy a new one. If I cant get it charged before the auction end I will put the old battery back in.
