1997 12V Dodge 2500 extended cab long bed SLT. Has 261900 miles but runs and drives like 61000 mile vehicle. The truck gets 18mpg in town, 11mpg towing, and gets in the 20's on the highway. This vehicle has new NV4500 transmission, new transfer case, the motor only has 200,000 miles on it, new steering gear box, new heavy duty trac bar and ball joints, new brakes, alternator, a new complete top end including head and valve job, new factory dash because the old one was cracked, has OEM power toe mirrors. Modifications that have been made to the truck: Has 3200 govern springs, HD valve springs, zero fuel plate, 370 marine injectors, a high tech turbo upgrade compressor, 5 inch exhaust, south bend single disc clutch, boost and piro gauge. Of course a truck this age there are a few minor flaws. The clear coat is coming off hood and roof like most dodge trucks do and there are a few minor scratches and dings along with a small dent in the passenger rear of the truck, the heater selector switch is bad and only works in the de frost position..the switch jus needs replaced, the clutch slave cylinder sometimes doesn't release in the higher gears but only seems to act up when it is cold. Once the truck warms up the clutch seems to hold fine, I would not be afraid to get in this truck and drive it accross the country. I dont want to sell this truck because these old 12V dodges are getting harder to find in this good of shape but I have a little one on the way and my wife says it must go.
