Dear eBayers, We have for bid a 2002 Toyota Celica GT, for parts or repair with low reserve price. This car belonged to our 17 year old son. We are selling this car because he made some bad choices and the car was taken away from him. (teenagers!!!) We do not know much about cars but we’ll try to do our best to describe the repairs needed on the car. What you see in the pictures is what you get NO more No less. Now about the car. The car starts and runs. There are no fluid leaks and no engine oil burn. The exterior has normal wear and tear, (for its age) some chips and dings. The car has had no accidents and it has original paint. The interior is in good condition, no visible tearing or wear, non smoker. Everything I checked seems to work OK. NO engine check light comes on. Last year I purchased a new Battery with a three year replacement warranty $89, All new tires with about 600 miles on them $420 with wallmart warranty, Before we got the car the previus owner put in a new clutch and breaks. Now what the car needs to be drivable. 1. The car had a power steering fluid leak from the HI pressure line. My son purchased a new line ($69)from AutoZone and the Celica service book with it ($22). According to the service manual, he had to disconnect the Low pressure return line to be able replace the HI pressure one. After he removed the Low pressure line he left it under the car and our lovely dog took the return line and buried it somewhere. After he finished installing the new HI pressure line, he noticed that the return line is missing. A long story short, thanks to our dog we could never find the return line. We went to every auto part in Tulsa but no one had one available and could not get one. According to the parts stores Nobody carries the low pressure line because they never brake or never need to be replaced. We have NO idea where to find one! We tried eBay without any success. So for now the car starts and runs, but is without the Low pressure return line and the Power Steering is NOT working. 2, the front windshield has a crack in it. Called local glass company for price quote @ $145 for part and label. 3. There is no stereo installed in the car. The old one was skipping CD’s. So my son purchased a brand new CD/Stereo with the installation kit for 2002 Celica GT, and Kenwood Amp which are all stored in the car trunk and need to be installed. 4, The rear Tail gate holder is weak and needs to replaced. They sell on eBay for around $20. 5, According to service manual the lifters need to be adjusted every so often. My son and neighbor tried to accomplish this task without success. In my opinion the car needs to be tuned up by a professional or someone with knowledge of how to since this engine has no self adjusting lifters. Since the failed tune up I can sometimes hear one lifter ticking at low RPM. Due to these known problems the winning price is firm, It is sold in AS IS condition, NO warranty of any kind and NO refunds. Anyone is welcome check or test-drive the car before bidding.
