This a a beautiful 1990 911 Red Convertible Carrera 2 The original owner bought and wrecked it in Oklahoma. My husband bought the Salvage Title with 7,968 miles on it. He used to own a collision shop and he had it shipped to him (in 1994), after it was in the front end wreck. He had his collision shop put it back together and it is like NEW! Now, it only has 25,303 ORIGINAL miles on it. It has hardly been driven. Most of the time it sits covered in the garage. Doesn't go out in the rain or snow. We have a local mechanic who recently did work on the transmission (May 2008) because it wasn't shifting smoothly and got jammed. While he had it apart we had him change all the seals (due to the age) because it was leaking a little oil. So, all fixed and no more leaking. The work invoice says: "replaced slider, fifth & reverse and change O rings. $5,000 later she is running like a champ again. I paid for a CARFAX in August of 2009. Can email or fax a copy if you want. You would not know this car was ever hit. Even the mechanic was shocked at how well it was put back together. We are non-smokers and it has been covered and babied for the last 20 years we've had it. Selling it because, 1: son is in college with 2 1/2 years to go 2: It's just sitting in the garage. My husbands collision shop fixed it and it WAS inspected and was given a REBUILT Title. A few years ago we requested a new title in both of our names and Secretary of State sent a "Regular Title". Not sure why. But, Carfax does show the Salvage and Rebuilt titles.
