1979 Honda XR500 ~ Don't let the year fool you . . this bike is in unbelievable original condition. Runs beautiful - very quiet, no smoke. Automatic decompression makes this big bore very easy to start. This bike was trail ridden by an adult -- not beaten in the sand and mud!! Condition shows that. Tank has 2 small dents - one on the middle in the front of seat, and the other on the right side. See photos. No creases - easy fix to be perfect. Seat has small 1-1/2" cut or tear on left side. Barely visible. The lights do not work (left side hand control has toggle wires on the outside of it - probably why lights don't work.) Easy fix. Bike has original front tire, suspension like new. Rear shocks are excellent. New chain and sprockets - still original tool kit on rear fender. This bike starts with 2 kicks. Very powerful - low miles - Don't think you will find another bike of this age in this condition. My reserve is $1,999.
