1985 Mercedes Benz 280GE Gelande Wagon. 31,206 original miles, VIN 460232040965, complete service history for mileage documentation. The Mercedes dealership where I'm employed purchased the G-wagon from Europa International in 1986 for a local billionaire. No joke! He owned banks and tv stations in the Washington D.C. area and the G-wagon was used in inclement weather for transportation. The condition of this vehicle is beyond words and pictures do not do it justice. If able, you should come out and inspect it for yourself. I purchased it in 2007 with 22,282 miles, complete service history and books. Since I've owned it, I've added a larger, factory replacement 23- gallon plastic fuel tank, larger 463 steering shock, turn signal lights, stereo with I-pod and Sirius satellite radio (stiletto not included.) Notice the shark fin antenna on the roof that is from a 2009 Mercedes. Recent service performed includes tune up, valve adjustments, belts replaced, all fluids changed, and fuel pump/filter replaced when new fuel tank installed, as well as a new tail pipe. Interior looks awesome! Back seat looks like it's never been sat on. Door panels, dashboards and consoles have no signs of damage. Factory a/c works great, never runs hot in the summer. Power windows and locks. Tires are 31 x 10.50 Michelin LTX A/T with factor alloy wheels. The spare tire has never been on the ground. Paint looks beautiful and is 90% original. The driver's door was repainted because the wind had blown it open, causing the door check to fail. The rear door was also repainted (due to the Europa tire cover which wore the paint off) to prevent rusting. All paint work matches perfectly. Fender flares are original, with some slight cracking of the fiberglass. Runs and drives flawlessly. No shakes or vibrations. I hate to have to part with it, but I need the space in my garage and I don't want to leave it outside in the elements.
