Vehicle Detail
Selling my wifes jeep! I bought this jeep in 2002 for my wife as a sunny day fun car for her. I ended up driving it more than her. Now we have 2 young boys and one more on the way and we need to sell some toys to buy my wife a SUV. Jeep is in great shape for the year! I am not describing our jeep as a show jeep, but a very nice unmolested, non modified, stock jeep with a couple of improvements. The improvements are rear speakers and amp, BFG tires and Weber carb with K&N air filter. I bought Best Top seat covers for front and rear. Seats themselves are in excellent condition and original. For pictures I removed the covers to show the original seats. The jeep has a "Last of a great Era" plaque on the left side below the clock. I have no I idea if this was factory applied or it was applied by one of the 2 previous owners. I have researched this when I bought the jeep, but could not find anything. Maybe someone out there in ebay land that is an expert on jeeps can let me know. I DO KNOW that it has a lot of options on the jeep, which may be part of the "Laredo" package or if it was set up like this for the last year of the CJ, but they are as follows; Factory AC, Cruise control, tilt wheel, factory "jeep" rear storage, clock, tachometer, 20 gallon tank, fog lamps. Our jeep drives straight as an arrow and is very tight. It does has some very small areas of rust, but none that can not be easily fixed. The windshield frame area leaks when it rains and shows a little rust in the drivers floor board. I have always, soon after a rain, wiped it out to prevent it from getting worse. I do have a new windshield frame to body gasket to install for the winning bidder. Again, this is not a perfect jeep and will need a little work to make it a show jeep. I do have an Auto check report on it and it is all clear except it notes a odometer descrepancie. With that said, I bought the jeep with 46-49k miles on it and the way it drove when I bought it and the way it drives now, I believe the miles to be correct. You will not be dissapointed in driving the jeep and would feel comfortable driving it from TN to California! Most CJ 's are manual as is my other CJ, but this one is an automatic as stated and is a lot of fun to drive with the top off in the summer. I have never taken it off road and only on paved and gravel roads. I left the 4 wheeling to my other CJ which is not as nice. This CJ will make a great daily driver or a weekend driver to the winning bidder. I do have a reserve because I do not intend on giving my jeep away, but I feel the reserve is set low for this jeep in this condition. If we drove the jeep a lot, I probably would be selling other stuff, but it sits more than it drives and hate that it sits more than it is driven. This jeep deserves to be driven daily or restored to show condition and keep it in a controlled enviroment! If you have any questions or if you live near and want to come by and test drive the jeep, please feel free to contact me by cell or email. Thanks for looking and please feel free to call or email me at anytime for your questions. Ebay only let me download 24 pictures. Based on this and if anyone else out there would like to see more specific pictures, please include your direct email address and any specific part of the jeep you want to see and I will email the pictures directly to you. Thanks for all that have called or emailed! I had one guy ask about the condition underneath the windshield. I have another video of the same day that may show it better. The video was last summer, 2010. thanks,Dave
