Up for auction is this 1981 VW Rabbit diesel with the 1.6 litre motor. The motor runs and there are no bearing knocks. There is some blow-by coming out of valve cover vent. The customer told us that he had the injector pump rebuilt. It doesn't leak and it works good. The transmission works good shifts smooth thru all gears. The clutch seems to be ok. We don't want to brag on this one too much. It needs some mechanical attention. It has a good 2 door body with no rust to speak of. (Some small spots here and there.) It needs an alternator, glo plugs, it has AC but it is not working. The car does run and drive but I want to sell it as a mechanics special. This car is a great starting point for the Veggie burner you have been waiting to try. The car is capable of 40-50 mpg and has a 4 speed transmission. This car has a Clear Florida title.
