Vehicle Detail
Hello Everyone, Sorry for the over description, but I'd rather you have that, than not enough..So, Here's Several Pictures ( Which I Have more to send per your request and Interest ) Of my Chevelle that I'm Cuttin Loose. I'm Offering her at a Very Fair & Reasonable Price, ( Considering What all these Classic Cars are going For, Most Of Which are Rusted, Cut, & Or Altered from Stock, etc. ), so, Unless Ur Willing to Pay Upwards Of 15K for one restored ( Just a Malibu, not an SS ), here's mine. Well, She's been Sitting ( with no Engine/Tranny for at Least 8 Years in my yard ) and no telling how long before that.?? I bought Her as a rolling body. since then I've Bought several Other Rides ( All Chevys ) over the years & Finally Ran across a 77' LT Camaro ( Odometer showing 23,233 ) with this purring, Low Miles 350 Cu. In. engine (Small Block) w/ a 2 barrel on a Cast Iron Intake, ( Unmolested & Original with a very sweet runner & Turbo 350 Tranny behind it ). that I Decided to put them into the Chevelle, which has 56,556 miles showing on the odometer... Long story short, After ordering New Motor Mounts ( Solid Moroso's ) and new U joints, and Rebuilding All 4 corners of the Chevelle's ( Drum ) brakes with New Shoes, New Master & Wheel Cylinders and whatever she needed. ( cause I Need All of my rides to be able to Stop well, before they Go :) ). then, bought New Aluma Coated Hedman Headers ( from PAW ) and she already has like 2 1/4 inch dual Exhaust with the cross over pipe & turn downs before the rear Axle. I also Bolted on a New Alternator after setting the Engine down in the Freshly painted Void. by the way, I painted the Entire Block after lightly de greasing & scrubbing and Checking it out, ( No Leaks ) with 3 coats of a Med / Dark grey Hi Heat paint ( Which looks great to me with the almost Silver Headers ), threw in New Plugs and Fresh Filters & fluids, etc.. She Purres Like a Kitten @ 70 mph at I'm Guessing 2,200 RPM. & floats Down the highway... turning Heads...getting the Thumbs Up constantly. I'm Also guessing the Rear ( Single Track ) gears are Around 350 or so ? ( Never pulled the Cover Off ) but, I Have some rather large Firestone Wilderness LT ( P265-70R x16 radials ) on the Rear and Goodyear Integrity ( P225-70R x16's) Radials on the front, both sitting on White & Aluminum IROC Z, 16 inch Offset Rims..( in Great shape with Clean Centers ) I Personally like a lotta Rubber between the rim and the road & to fill the Wheel wells up, Plus It Lends to a longer Life for the tires, Easier ride, because of the Larger Circumference and better Braking and traction. but You can Put whatever you'd like On her ( or I'll gladly throw a Set of matching 15 x 7 inch Ralleys, w/ 225-70R x 15's on her, which are like new, All the Way Around ) Instead of those large meats.. ( your call ). As you can see from the Pictures,She is Really Pretty Straight and, (Has No Bondo on the car),she has All of It's origional Sheet metal & Floor pans, etc..It was Never Wrecked & All the Seams, Door to Body, Hood and Trunk to Fender and Quarters are all Symetrical and Line up Perfectly!!!. Plus, there is VERY VERY Little Rust, ( mainly in the usual Chevy Places, behind each wheel well from trapped leaves, debris or junk keeping moisture hidden Behind the fender ) and Each of the 4 places Would Need either a Quick Fix of grinding and Bondo or fiberglass, a/or Cut out and Have new Patch panels Tack welded in and Done Right.). there is also a Little bubble on the drivers side leading edge of the Front hood and A teeny/tiny little bit Around the outside edges of the rear Glass that aren't hardly visible ( not major at all ). Other than That , She Is RUST FREE :) which Is Why I bought Her in the first place.. all of the floors, trunk, frame, doors & everywhere else are SOLID like new and Is a pleasure to Show folks.. She has a GRANT aftermarket steering wheel and a nice B&M Console Shifter ( Instead of the Shifter on the Column which is still there ) Brand New tinted Windshield, thats three weeks old, ( New front arm rest pads & window cranks ) the backs are in fine shape. I just put 2 New rear view mirrors outside & a New right side fender extension moulding on her and 2 new Halogen headlight bulbs up front. ( all the Marker lights work ) and I Believe all the trim stainless is there, I just bought a NOS front left hand eye brow moulding for the drivers side & New (rear to front glass) rubber & installed it for both sides and a New trunk Lock assembly, and just bought a brand New Black Loop Carpet Kit for her from OPG in Seal Beach for around $250.oo with under Insulation and Sound deadener :) The Previous owner took out the radio ( I personally like Listening to the engine rumble going around 70 ),which is Chevy Music to my Ears.. and the Heater Doesn't Work,?? Not sure why ? She has the Astro Ventilation ( upper drivers side rod missing ) when you pull the levers inside. It has Power Steering and the Radiator is like new & has tranny cooler lines in it & hooked up and She doesn't fart, stumble or run hot , She's just no power house with a two Barrel ( but probably Gets close to 20+ MPG cruising the freeway ) :), she pulls perfectly straight when you hit the Brakes with your hands off the Wheel :P and starts with just a touch of the key. ( & Doesn't Smoke, Ping, Knock or Rattle, etc.) Hello ! Drivers side door I open from the passenger side or reach in to the leaver from outside if the window is down..( you'll need to Pull off the Door panel and See if a Clip broke or ? just needs Oiling ? ) The More I Spend on her the more I'm Gonna Ask so.. I'm Stopping @ the Carpet. She needs a Headliner, Dash Pad, and the front seats to be re upholstered ( Frames and Springs are all there and Solid ) and the top of the back seat done too, Door panels are nice but one has a small tare in the drivers side ( upper front ) the size of a Quarter but the fabric is still there.. . You Won't find one in as good a Shape for the money, ask me any questions you'd like, I Shoot Straight ( got nothing to hide ) and am Honest and there aren't any surprises. check with your Wife Or ? and let me know. I Ain't worried. She will be Gone soon... She's an Old Classic Survivor and In great Shape for her Years and Really & Truely a Great Runner & Driver :) She'll make somebody a Proud Owner for years and years to Come.( and If You Are so Inclined Would Easily Make an SS clone w/ a Big Block, SS hood and Some Emblems, etc. ).. I have a Clean Title in hand, and She's good to Drive Anywhere ! The tag expires in Aug of 2011 . Plus, She Doesn't need Smog Check. PS. She was Origionally Butternut Yellow and who know's who painted her Burnt Orange and added the Black Stripes ? Please Serious Inquiries. Only, Thank You !
