I have for sale a 1986 Porsche 944. It is in emaculate condition! There is absolutly nothing mechanically wrong with this car. It runs strong and has a little under 134,000 miles on it. Here is the story behind the car... I bought this car from a shop in Santa Clara. Before buying it i asked if anything needed to be replaced or was going to need replacing in the near future and he said no, nothing at all. I asked what about the brakes, the clutch, the tires, the transmition, and the suspension. He said nothing needs to be or will need to be in the near future. He said the only thing that was wrong with the car was that the alternator belt needed to be replaced but he had already done it before i got there. The reason he was selling it was simply because the owner had too many cars. I bought it! I drove it for about two weeks until the master cylinder for the clutch went out. The clutch would not come off the floor. I had a shop replace it on Feb. 10th, 2011. Now runs stong as ever. In the mean time i looked into parts for this car and saw that a clutch alone cost about 800 dollars. Im a college kid and this car is way outta my budget. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car and thats why there is no better time for me to sell it. The old owner has ran this car on 10w 40 synthetic oil since the begining. It is by far the fastest car i have ever owned and it is only a 2.5 liter stock engine. I did some reading on it and it was made for cornering. Abviously being a Porsche it is Known for handling but the 944 in particular has just about perfect 50/50 wieght distribution and can handle like no other. Besides there being a few dents on the front the only thing that needs fixing is the back latch. It will not open as of now and the guy said it wouldn't be over 150 bucks for the part and labor.
